What you’ll own
Provides direct sales leadership to the commercial teams (i.e. Business development, Relationship management, solution consulting teams) including planning, coaching, recruiting, selection, performance development and mentoring.Lead and drive accountability in commercial teams who are responsible to end-to-end of the entire sales cycleDevelops commercial plans, goals and sales strategies to achieve Japan commercial goals.Identifies opportunities to reduce time-to-signing and time-to-live, to secure revenue more quickly and implements the necessary actions to achieve this.Provide on-the-ground leadership to the overall Japan office including to non-commercial teams (matrix reporting) and build a positive culture in the Japan office.Represent Worldpay Japan KK in trade show participation and external events.Work closely with internal teams e.g. Pricing , legal, product, credit risk, operations, etc to ensure solutions are catered to local market needs and ensure positive customer experience.Monitors client survey results to ensure positive client relationships and satisfaction and responds to any negative criticism.Ensures development and maintenance of long-term relationships with client base.Instills a belief in the company's vision, mission and values in the Japan office.Participate to wider APAC strategies and goals as this role sits in the APAC leadership teamOther related duties assigned as needed.Where you’ll own it

What you bring
Requires at least 15 years of proven Sales Leadership track record, preferably in the payments and fintech industryAdded advantage if there is any Country management experienceRequires strong management, organizational, team building, coaching and mentoring skillsRequires strong business skills, industry knowledge, financial management and planning skills, long-term vision and executive presenceIn-depth knowledge of payments products and servicesGeneral knowledge of financial and/or payment solutions technology including systems, applications and banking practicesRequires expert negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal in EnglishExcellent skills in communicating ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise and professional manner including presentationsAbility to communicate effectively with all levels of management in an organized, professional mannerRequires solid decision-making and problem solving skillsAbility to influence without authorityAbility to show established track record of involvement in industry trade groups preferredRequires the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management (internally/externally), employees, clients and publicTravel is requiredWhat makes a Worldpayer
