The Opportunity:
Anywhere Real Estate’s People Enablement team continues to transform our Employee Experience journey, and this high impact role will lead a talented team of 10 Compensation professionals.
The Vice President of Compensation will be responsible for developing and overseeing the company’s compensation strategy, ensuring it aligns with our business objectives and supports our talent management goals. This role will lead the design, implementation, and administration of competitive compensation programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent.
This is a strategic and hands-on role that is responsible for leading the compensation team that provides innovative design, quality consulting and impact to support Anywhere’s revenue growth aspirations. This role will provide thought leadership and be an effective partner to the People Enablement leadership team as they develop compensation strategies, build roadmaps of continuous improvement and provide communications that align with Anywhere’s employee value proposition. Responsible for leveraging their expertise to lead Anywhere’s Compensation function through assessing the effectiveness and competitiveness of the global compensation plans while anticipating and navigating the ever-changing compliance landscape.
Successful candidate must be an experienced leader who is a skilled collaborator and able to generate win-win outcomes by building partnerships across the enterprise while aligning expectations and integrating various points of view.

Key Responsibilities:
Compensation Strategy and Development
Lead a strategic compensation transformation journey across our global employee population aligns with Anywhere Real Estate’s business goals and objectives as we continue leading the residential real estate industry Ensure programs and practices are competitive in the marketplace to support business goals, recruitment, engagement, and talent development activities. Lead the creation of meeting materials for the Compensation and Talent Committee (C&TC) of the Board of Directors, including interaction with the C&TC’s independent consultant. In close partnership with Legal & Finance, lead the preparation and review of executive compensation disclosures for the annual proxy statement, including the Compensation Discussion and Analysis (CD&A). Influence, advise, and lead the design, implementation, communication, change management and administration of compensation programs to support the achievement of organizational objectives, consistently, and transparently while working closely with stakeholders across the organization. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions, driving initiatives to ensure equitable pay practices.Compensation Program Design and Delivery
Conduct complex analyses and prepare critical materials for Executive audiences, including our Board of Directors. Lead cross-functional partnerships to shape and execute the incentive compensation strategy. Drive simplification and automation in plan design and operations. Build strong measurement tools to ensure efficacy of plans. Use market analysis and technology to ensure competitive and efficient practices that drive business results.Stakeholder Collaboration & Compensation Leadership:
Develop strong stakeholder relationships via delivery of meaningful market insights; leverage external market data and regularly inform executive stakeholders on market trends in retaining talent, i.e. continually driving actionable insights. Oversee the annual compensation review process and lead the design and administration of base salary, incentive, and equity compensation programs globally. Conduct annual external and internal market analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitive compensation practices to attract and retain top talent. Partner with the VP, Benefits to drive and educate employees on Total Rewards and its place in the employee value proposition. Provide leadership to the broader People Enablement team ensuring the Total Rewards strategy is integrated into the broader People Enablement team and business strategy.Team Leadership
Lead, coach and develop a team of compensation professionals in delivering best-in-class compensation programs. Ability to develop and communicate a clear strategic vision for the team, aligning with the company’s overall goals and objectives. Proven track record of coaching, mentoring and developing team members to achieve their full potential. Strong ability to build partnerships across the organization and team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 15 years of experience in compensation management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role Exceptional communication skills to rally teams and present compelling strategies to stakeholders Experience with enterprise-wide initiatives and leading through change Strong knowledge of compensation principles, practices, and regulations. Expert in compensation benchmarking and market analysis. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation is a plus.
