VP Consumer Acquisition

At GMIC we are engaging and innovating across the General Motors (GM) and General Motors Financial (GMF) ecosystem every day. In this newly formed role, you will be responsible for creating new and innovative ways to bring people to our quoting platform from across all the various touch points and interactions within the GM/GMF universe. Through intrapreneurship, negotiation and experimentation this leader will identify new ways of acquiring quotes from across the enterprise providing long-term growth of customers from within the internal prospect universe. Leveraging analysis of consumers, quoters and customers this role will provide insights that drive growth, additional marketing campaigns, and ultimately new business growth for GMIC. This role will create and maintain in-depth understanding of overall business and marketing objectives; constantly optimizing performance of consumer touchpoints that drive quote volume. Oversees all internal and external marketing activities that drive quote start volume. This leader will work across the organization to jointly create new business sales that lead to customers for life. Additionally, he or she will coordinate all activities with leaders across GM and GMF to fully leverage the prospect pool across the enterprise including dealers, consumer brands, and other products/services.While possessing branding and external mass media experience is a nice plus, neither will be a significant part of this role. We already use the GM brand and do not have intentions of leveraging mass media beyond potential inclusion in existing GM brand mass media efforts. We will also prioritize those with sales, distribution, and marketing experience outside digital channels as that capability is already operational inside the organization. Responsibilities About the role: Bring people to the front door of GMIC feeding the top of the sales funnel with quality, targeted leads that will drive our new business growth Lead the strategy for all consumer correspondence, using data and analytics, to determine most effective and low-cost platform and channel Provide enterprise-wide reporting to measure success and uncover opportunities Lead a performance marketing organization team that continually improves the company's digital communication channels, including email, messaging, chat and digital media, and continually refines those channels to most effectively bring new consumers to the top of the sales funnel Oversee Content Marketing team that leads, develops and implements customer and dealer facing communication and marketing programs designed to support the company's objectives and strengthen GMIC's brand position Help guide a content strategy designed to engage our audiences as well as create brand awareness, support and protect the company's reputation, and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders Ensure clarity and consistency of messaging in all outbound communications Collaborate with CX and Marketing leaders across GM and GMF to identify all customer touch points and ensure that GMIC is creating connections that lead to consumers cross shopping products and services Lead GMIC's Social Media programs, including marketing, advertising and paid search aspects and recruiting; and help guide strategy and training for social experiences in coordination with GMF Partner with leaders and business groups at GM and GMF to ensure alignment and consistency of all shared customer experiences, communication and touch points Adapt and maintain a budget, strategic plan and top talent to implement the customer experience vision Perform other duties as assigned Conform with all company policies and procedures Qualifications What makes you an ideal candidate: Advanced knowledge of organizational communication theory and practice Advanced knowledge of marketing concepts, principles and performance marketing communication theory and practice Advanced knowledge of digital, social and emerging media concepts for growth Advanced knowledge of consumer behavior and research Advanced understanding of management processes such as planning, budgeting and personnel administration Advanced understanding of Lifetime Value and/or relationship between retention, allowable acquisition cost and pricing in a direct to consumer product Skills Proven leadership experience in strategic communication, marketing communication development and implementation, including identification of specific audiences, their needs and most effective ways to reach them and compel them to take action Agility to collaborate with contractors, agencies and other teams for effective, efficient work Demonstrated expertise implementing and overseeing new and innovative marketing and communications strategies, techniques and technologies Demonstrated ability to product leads at a specified cost per lead and/or cost per acquisition Strong people leadership skills with an ability to coach, lead, motivate, and influence team members across a range of marketing/communication disciplines to support corporate goals and objectives while fostering a culture where team members belong, discover, thrive Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and lead multiple initiatives at once, including resource allocation Superior written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to lead discussions with all levels of team members and management Deep understanding of GM’s and/or GMF’s business and the ability to apply knowledge and critical thinking skills in leadership of team problems and solutions Education Bachelor’s Degree In related field or equivalent work experience required Master’s Degree preferred Experience Greater than 10 years progressive experience in related field required Greater than 10 years management or leadership experience required What We Offer: Generous benefits package available on day one to include: 401K matching, bonding leave for new parents (12 weeks, 100% paid), training, GM employee auto discount, community service pay and nine company holidays. Compensation: Competitive salary and bonus eligibility; this role is eligible for company vehicle program Work Life Balance: Fully remote role with occassional required travel #LI-WB1 Salary The base salary range for this role is: USD $131,600.00 to $249,900.00. At GM Financial, we strive for transparency in all aspects of our business, including pay equity. This is the GM Financial pay range for this role and job level. The exact salary and compensation will vary based on factors like knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This role is eligible to participate in a performance-based incentive plan. Full time employees are eligible to participate in health benefits on day one of employment.
