VP/Director - Compliance
The VP Compliance Director is a key role in ensuring the overall compliance program is effective and continues to evolve with a growing multi-product business and ever-changing regulatory environment. This role is responsible for managing key compliance components of the program to include ensuring policies and training are in place, regulatory requirements (federal & state) are established and processes in place to validate they are being met. A primary compliance leader that drives strategy and direction of the team.
In the Role
Drive strong compliance oversight of the business while ensuring the overall compliance program remains efficient and effective.
Partner with business to ensure all regulatory requirements are met and compliance controls are in place; support ongoing growth and development of multiple products from a compliance standpoint
Interface directly with Federal regulators (e.g. CFPB) regarding ongoing monitoring and future supervisory exams
Compliance SME on various key products and regulatory areas, which includes not only reviewing and approving be assisting in development relevant of P&P and Training from a compliance standpoint
Partner with other compliance leaders to further develop and advance overall Compliance program
Lead a compliance team to manage components of the compliance program
Gather and assess data for analytics and trending purposes
Root cause analysis
Drive solutions
Collaboration with other business units, control teams and Legal
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree (Advanced degrees, licenses, certifications as plus)
Minimum of eight (8) years of compliance or risk management role related experience
Knowledge of compliance laws, rules, regulations specific to consumer lending (personal loans, auto lending, etc.), such as EOCA, FCRA, UDAAP, FDCPA, BSA/AML, etc.
Exceptional analytical and data management skills
Leadership/management skills including experience directly managing a team
Ability to solve problems and offer solutions and then influence without authority and drive results
Strong research skills and advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and on-line research systems and Archer experience preferred
Strong knowledge of Consumer federal regulatory requirements; state consumer knowledge a plus
Experience in developing and implementing compliance programs
Ability to work collaboratively with the business they suppor
Excellent project management skills
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to make sound decisions
Ability to multi-task and complete projects timely
Self-starter and organized
Ability to work in partnership with others and in a team environment
Able to work independently with minimum supervision and guidance
Preferred:
Related certification such as CCEP, CRCM, etc.
Location: Baltimore, MD | Hybrid with 10% travel

Target base salary range is $130,000 - $160,000, which is based on various factors including skills and work experience. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a competitive compensation program that is based on individual and company performance.
