Overview:
This position reports directly to the Chief Legal Office of Blue Yonder and will manage a diverse and challenging array of labor and employment, compliance and litigation/dispute matters for our global business and workforce.
The successful candidate will be an experienced employment lawyer with employment and commercial litigation experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable advising in a dynamic environment where business priorities may change quickly.
Scope:
The Deputy General Counsel, Employment & Litigation will provide advice to colleagues within the Legal Department and Associate Success on a variety of employment-related issues impacting our global workforce, including wage/hour, executive compensation and equity programs, leaves of absence, employee benefits, disability and accommodations-related issues, terminations, investigations, reductions in force, discrimination/harassment, restrictive covenants, and contingent workers. Additionally, you will serve in a senior strategic oversight role related to litigation and customer/vendor disputes, supervising at least one attorney.
What you’ll do:
Manage compliance with all applicable labor and employment laws and regulations, with the support of outside counsel and/or other members of the Legal Department, on a global basis;Develop and deliver training to Associate Success, managers and other stakeholders on a wide variety of employment and compliance related subjects. Present to executive leadership and senior managers on employment law developments and their impact to business practices and policies;Provide legal advice to Associate Success professionals and other internal stakeholders on employment-related policies, processes, and templates, including hiring and terminations, separation & release agreements, investigations, and bonus/commission plans and compensation practices, to reflect applicable laws and regulations;Support and provide advice for workplace investigations, including whistleblower allegations, ethics and compliance matters, and employment-related claims, including conducting investigations as circumstances require;Overall strategic oversight, including management of at least one attorney, on all litigation and dispute matters involving the company;Monitor and provide thought leadership regarding global labor and employment developments and trends, and make recommendations for improvements and best practices;Manage and evaluate outside counsel providing support for labor and employment matters and other commercial litigation;Act as legal partner to the entire Associate Success organization; andAssist the Chief Legal Officer as needed in appropriate programs, strategies and initiatives.Who you are:
J.D. degree from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. state10+ years of combined experience in law firm and/or in-house legal department, preferably in a leadership role as an employment lawyer in a multinational, U.S.-based technology companyExtensive “hands-on” labor & employment legal experience with proven ability to provide practical advice and solutions that balance legal risk and business prioritiesWorking knowledge of technology industryStrong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to mentor and manage a team and work collaboratively across the business and within the Legal DepartmentAbility to organize, prioritize and manage deadlines, workflow, and team execution in a fast-based and demanding work environmentSound and practical business judgmentExcellent written/verbal communication and negotiation skillsFlexibility to work outside regular business hours as needed to accommodate clients and colleagues in other geographiesOccasional travel as required for business meetings, investigations, mediations or court proceedingsPreferences:
Experience with drafting proxy statements and CD&AFamiliarity with corporate governance policies and trends, especially those related to SEC disclosure, ISS and Glass Lewis#US-REMOTE

The salary range for this position is $193,198.00 USD to 250,802.00 USD
The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
