About the Role
Barry Callebaut Digital (BCD) is on a mission to lead the digital revolution in the chocolate industry. In order to meet this challenge we are looking for a VP Digital Enabling functions (Finance, HR, Legal, Communication, Strategy) to spearhead this transformative journey. This new role is a cornerstone of our digital strategy, aimed at digitally enhancing our enabling processes around Finance, Human Resources, Communications and Legal, to support Barry Callebaut’s vision of becoming a digital-first leader in the market. Reporting directly to the Chief Digital Officer (CDO), you will have the unique opportunity to shape our digital future.
As an architect of our digital transformation, you will drive innovation and efficiency across our enabling processes, leading multiple digital teams towards achieving data-centric operational excellence. Your role involves strategic oversight, team leadership, and the implementation of digital strategy and solutions that enhance user experience and enable sustainable growth. Key Responsibilities include:
Assume a pivotal strategic leadership role in driving BCD's digitization efforts, focusing primarily on enabling processes and capabilities.
Directly report to the CDO, ensuring alignment with the overall digital strategy and contributing to the digital transformation roadmap.
Lead and inspire approx. 4 digital teams across various digital domains including Digital Finance, Digital Human Resources, Digital Communications and Legal, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence.
The role will also double hat with taking leadership for the North- and Latin America regions and become key advisor and partner to the regional presidents.
Oversee the development, deployment, and management of digital products and innovations, ensuring they meet business objectives and enhance customer experience.
Champion the integration of data-centric, digital technologies and practices within the enabling processes, driving efficiency, scalability, and sustainability.
Prioritize digital initiatives rigorously based on business value and user benefit.
Collaborate with business leaders (e.g. CFO, VP Human Resources) to identify opportunities for digital enhancements, ensuring alignment with Barry Callebaut’s strategic goals.
About You
Graduate degree in IT/technology, business administration, management, finance, or a comparable field
Experience of leadership in digital/IT roles with a strong business connection, e.g. in the consumer goods industry
Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience of which 10+ years in managing multi-cultural, dispersed teams in senior roles
Experience in setting up and leading digital product units and strategy for enabling functions
Experienced in transforming a digital/IT organization into an agile, product-oriented, and business-integrated set-up
Deep exposure to shaping and driving strategic digital agenda to enable end-to-end process digitization and business growth
Solid understanding of key finance, HR, communications and legal processes from a business and digital perspective
Brings the ability to conceptualize and articulate a clear vision for digital transformation of our enabling functions that aligns with the company's strategic goals, demonstrating foresight and planning in a rapidly evolving digital landscape
Exhibits a passion for technology and innovation, constantly seeking new and creative solutions to enhance business processes and customer experiences.
The ability to bring people together and mobilize individuals to pursue a joint digital agenda
Demonstrated success in leading and managing diverse teams to achieve digital transformation objectives
Ability to drive change in a collaborative way on a global scale
