Your role and responsibilitiesAccountable for defining and implementing sales and marketing strategies for the assigned area. Proactively leads, develops, and coaches the Marketing and Sales function and manages the marketing and sales action plans to achieve the key qualitative and quantitativeThe work model for the role is: Onsite #LI-OnsiteYou will be mainly accountable for:•\tTechnical and scientific proficiency and leadership – Coordinates NEMA technology and reports to Division management. Ensures the alignment of strategies, processes and corresponding R&D plans. Follows up progress. Facilitates technology issues within NEMA and across Divisions. Is involved at an operational level in important and critical technology issues and/or projects within Division ensuring adherence to R&D gate model process.•\tProjects, processes and tools – Ensures NEMA R&D and engineering projects are delivered on time and on budget. Ensures that actions and decisions taken are approved in accordance with prevailing policies and instructions. Drives, influences and facilitates cooperation around market standards and guidelines important to the Division.•\tFinance and budget – Responsible for R&D budget and targets, set in accordance with parameters decided by the NEMA Division President.•\tTechnology direction, innovation and creativity – Responsible for creation and execution of NEMA R&D strategy in agreement. Creates, plans and follows up NEMA technology road map. Develops, secures and facilitates innovation process, and ensures key performance indicators (KPIs) are in place to be tracked.•\tPeople leadership and development – Ensures that people processes are in place to enable the appropriate organization, competence and skills to exist or be developed. Guides, motivates and coaches team and individuals, both direct and indirect.
Qualifications for the roleBachelor’s degree in Engineering and minimum 15 years of experience with industrial electric motors in R&D, engineering, or related field\tGlobal business acumen with a proven record in execution of defined strategic initiatives\tProject management – including the ability to lead and influence teams of senior managers\tStrong Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SAP, WorkDay, IoT experience - preferred\tLean Six Sigma or PMP Certifications - preferred\tWillingness to travel up to 50% (both domestic & international)Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
