VP Loan Doc & Processing Lead Analyst

The Loan Doc & Processing Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who accomplishes results through leading a team of Agency Deal Closers responsible for closing and booking large corporate syndicated loans in the capacity of Administrative Agent.  This individual integrates subject matter and industry expertise within the defined area to oversee the execution of booking transactions in alignment with legal agreements.  This individual sets and maintains a high standard of accuracy, timeliness, and accountability across the team.  Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively operate within the function, as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of partner teams and other stakeholders in the end to end process.  Requires at least basic understanding of commercial/corporate loan terms and mechanics.  Communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide team members and influence colleagues to support senior business partners and high profile clients alike.   Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results governed by strategic risk mitigation and compliance with applicable rules and regulations.  Responsibilities also include Credit Agreement review, break investigation, processing approvals, leading closing calls, and procedure and policy formulation within the given domain area.

Responsibilities:

This role will manage preparing and reviewing loan documentation while providing support to a variety of tasks related to the loan process.Activities will include independently processing and approval of loan bookings within a complex loan operations environment.Subject matter expert to lead the team and drive and implement business initiatives, client solutions, and/or projects.Develops and exercises business plans, policies and procedures, and demonstrates an ability to lead projects, offer innovative solutions and cost saving opportunities.Stays abreast of developments within the loan documentation/processing function and considers the impact to the business.Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of complex deliverables often related, but not limited to loan documentation processesAccountable for integrity of process, operations and associated resultsResponsible for detailed analysis of loan related issues where the best course of action is not evident from the information available, but actions must be recommended/ takenSupports a wide range of internal clients (product, sales, client delivery, and technology) and external corporate clientsThis includes but not limited to assessing service quality and identifying areas for process improvement, service or technology enhancementsRequires advanced analytical skills to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material from multiple projects, thereby defining problems and developing solutionsDefines, develops, implements and tracks appropriate margin related KPIs and SLAs for the groupConducts discovery and due diligence activities with clients to meet their needsAssumes informal/formal leadership role within the team, is involved in the coaching and training of new recruits, provides guidance and support to junior staffBuilds effective relationships with colleagues, management, internal/external clients and stakeholders, as well as ability to influence them where necessaryCreates, develops and maintains effective relationships with colleagues, management, internal/external clients and stakeholders, and seeks to understand their needs and provides solutionsPersuades/influences/ negotiates with others through collaborative communication skillsAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency


Qualifications:

6-10 years of experienceReasonable knowledge of Business Processes, Systems and Tools used in the Loan ProcessDemonstrate understanding of Loan Processes, Procedures, Products and ServicesGeneral awareness of managing, preparing, and reviewing loan documentationAdequate ability to identify, mitigate, manage, resolve, and escalate risks and issuesAwareness of risk types, policies and control measures and processesComply with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, and adhering to Policies


Education:

Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$103,200.00 - $154,800.00
