Skills and Competencies

* Strong analytical and business skills and an ability to set direction

* Fluent in both English and Mandarin, with ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) succinctly and effectively to both internal and external stakeholders

* Strong business knowledge and experience with the ability to develop and implement strategic plans within context of the bigger picture and provide analysis of financial position and projections

* Ability to build strong external relationships with stakeholders across various cultural background and legal jurisdictions

* Familiar with the key characteristics and dynamics of the credit and capital markets, credit ratings and credit risk solution products in China and other Asian markets

* Ability to collaborate and coordinate effectively across all levels within the organization

* Demonstrated ability to track multiple programs concurrently and to report progress in an executive level to senior management

* Self-learner with great capability to work independently and as a team player in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment

* Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills

* Ability to drive change and improvement initiatives

* At least 15 years of experience in the financial services industry with exposure to strategy and business management. Relevant experience with a consulting firm, a credit rating agency or a financial institution is a plus.

* Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel and AI tools

* Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to manage and prioritize several projects at once, able to work and communicate proactively, without close supervision

Education

* Minimum of Undergraduate/ First Level degree (or equivalent), MBA preferred

Responsibilities

* Responsible for the development, communication and implementation of strategic growth initiatives and processes

* Lead the analysis for developing new business opportunities, new product offerings and various strategic projects

* Lead the evaluation of potential investments, joint ventures and partnership opportunities in China and other Asian markets

* Plan and execute on the analysis of internal and external market data to support the monitoring of regional markets and to assist in identifying opportunities to improve market relevance/positioning

* Represent the firm with investors and business partners when required

* Support Moody’s Ratings Head of China in affiliate management and facilitate interactions between Moody’s Ratings and its affiliates

* Provide significant support and oversight for a wide range of strategic and ad-hoc APAC and global projects and deliverables. Examples include APAC strategy presentations, country assessments, corporate strategic plans, senior management onsite, etc.

* Support Moody’s Ratings Head of China on operations/office related initiatives and actions plans as required

About the team

The Regional Management team in China is responsible for the formulation and implementation of Moody’s Ratings regional strategy with a focus on China and other Asian markets, including market analysis, affiliate relationship management, identification of partnership/ investment opportunities, and participating in external outreach activities. The team also supports the Head of China in country management and operations related matters and assist other regional initiatives.
