VP of HR

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in the light manufacturing industry for a VP of HR in Portage, Michigan. As a VP of HR, you will be tasked with evaluating our current human resources processes, providing expert advice for enhancements, and implementing new strategies to optimize effectiveness.
Responsibilities
• Analyze and assess the current HR policies, practices, and processes within our organization
• Deliver a comprehensive analysis report highlighting the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats within the HR function
• Propose new protocols, policies, procedures, and systems to optimize HR functions and align with industry best practices
• Detect compliance gaps with employment laws and regulations and suggest remedial actions
• Offer guidance for the successful implementation of recommended changes
• Maintain awareness of latest HR trends and regulatory changes, proactively advising on necessary updates
• Assist in the creation and refinement of the company's talent management strategy
• Provide coaching and guidance to management and HR staff on best HR practices. Requirements • Proven experience in HR Compliance, ensuring all company practices adhere to legal and ethical standards.
• Demonstrated ability to oversee and manage an HR Department efficiently and effectively.
• Track record in HR Development, including employee training, career progression, and talent management.
• Thorough understanding and application of HR Law, safeguarding the organization against potential legal issues.
• Strong HR Leadership skills, including the ability to motivate, guide, and inspire teams.
• Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting HR Metrics to inform strategic decisions.
• Experience in developing and implementing HR Policy in alignment with company objectives.
• Ability to design and execute an effective HR Strategy that supports the overall business plan.
• Familiarity with HRIS Systems to manage HR processes and employee data.
• Expertise in Human Resources (HR) Administration, including recruitment, benefits administration, and employee relations.
