VP of Information Technology

Johnson Service Group is seeking an experienced Vice President of Information Technology to lead our IT department and oversee technological systems and third-party partnerships. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for managing IT infrastructure, systems, security, and project management. You will ensure that the technology infrastructure runs smoothly and remains aligned with evolving business needs and trends. Additionally, you will play a key role in shaping and executing the technology strategy, overseeing system integrations, updates, and continuous improvements.

This position collaborates closely with internal teams. You will manage vital systems such as phone systems, Teams, and MS Office products, ensuring their optimal performance and aligning technology initiatives with business objectives.
Primary Duties: Lead the development and execution of IT strategic plans, policies, and programs to meet business and finance objectives and optimize enterprise-wide IT operations. Collaborate with upper management to identify opportunities for web-based applications, solutions, and services, addressing competitive challenges and proposing innovative strategies to drive business success. Secure resources to support IT initiatives and create an adaptable systems structure that incorporates best practices and emerging technology trends. Work closely with stakeholders to ensure technology planning aligns with organizational goals. Develop and manage annual IT budgets, tracking and optimizing expenditures. Monitor technology trends and social behaviors to identify opportunities and potential risks to business success. Establish and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures to protect the organization’s data and IT infrastructure. Oversee the development and execution of an information security strategy to ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Lead risk assessments, identify, evaluate, and mitigate IT risks, and manage disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Recommend and implement internal controls and strategies to minimize risks and ensure regulatory compliance. Provide leadership in selecting, acquiring, and implementing key technologies and systems that meet organizational needs. Enforce data quality measures, establish standardized data models, and ensure compliance with integration standards. Enable the accessibility, consistency, security, and timely availability of data to support organizational activities. Formulate strategies to link data to external systems (vendors, government, etc.), ensuring seamless integration with internal resources. Manage IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget, while coordinating with internal departments and managing stakeholder expectations. Oversee critical systems, including phone systems, MS Office, Teams, and Power BI, ensuring effective, secure, and efficient performance. Implement cybersecurity measures to safeguard systems and data, enforcing security protocols and responding to incidents promptly. Build and maintain vendor relationships, ensuring SLAs are met, and acting as the primary contact for vendor-related issues. Collaborate with leadership to ensure IT strategy aligns with business objectives, while managing a small IT team and day-to-day operations. Communicate with internal departments to understand their needs and provide IT solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Mentor and develop the IT team, assigning tasks and responsibilities to ensure continued growth and skill enhancement. Stay updated on emerging technologies, evaluating and recommending new tools and strategies to drive business innovation and growth. Qualifications: At least 10 years of proven experience as an IT leader in a similar role, preferably within a complex or high-tech environment. Extensive technical expertise with technologies such as LAN/WAN networking, Active Directory, Firewalls, Windows Server OS, VMware, databases, Business Intelligence, software development lifecycle, disaster recovery, WiFi, server management, telecom, and IT infrastructure. Strong background in leading large IT operations, including process reengineering, staffing, project management, budget development, hardware/software conversions, and vendor management. Expertise in information security, cyber-attack prevention, and risk mitigation. Proven ability to manage and deliver complex IT projects successfully. Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, software integration, and vendor management. Excellent communication, delegation, and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and data protection regulations. Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize effectively. Up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, and the ability to apply them strategically in a business context. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required; a Master’s degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
