Clever is seeking a Vice President of Marketing to grow our global network, business, and brand. In this role, you’ll develop the game plan to win hearts, minds, and market share in the K12 education community, furthering our mission to connect every student to a world of learning. You’ll lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team with responsibility for all aspects of marketing – brand, communications, growth, and product marketing. This position requires a seasoned marketing leader with a deep understanding of education technology; the role reports to the Chief Revenue Officer.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Marketing leadership: 10+ years of marketing experience with a history of success building, launching and scaling SaaS products and businesses. Experience marketing to education or B2B customers outside the U.S. People leadership: Managing a multi-function marketing team with 7+ years of overall management experience. Demonstrates strong coaching and career development skills, including experience leading and developing other managers and leaders. Marketing acumen: You’re a storyteller who makes data-driven decisions. You seek customer insights and craft great narratives. You have experience partnering with enterprise-level sales partners to drive results. And you’re a student of marketing who is constantly seeking to improve in the craft. Business Leadership and Communication: Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively collaborate with and influence cross-functional stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Edtech expertise: A strong understanding of education technology and market dynamics. The range of our base salary cash compensation for this role for candidates living in the United States, besides NYC and San Francisco, CA, is between $229,500 - $270,000. For candidates living in NYC and San Francisco, CA is between $252,500-$297,000. All final offers are determined using multiple factors including experience and level of expertise.
