The Vice President of Operations directs and manages the Transportation Branch operations, and assists the Senior Vice President in formulating and implementing organization policies, short- and long-term initiatives, and processes to optimize work flow.
Responsibilities Manages all the CLG operations nationwide to include fulfillment, reverse, transit transload and transportation functions. Drive the annual budget process and ensure financial goals and key objectves are being met.Establish, review and monitor key indicators for success and cost controlRecruit, hire and train new operational managers.Facilitates development, management and monitoring of divisional plans, and ensures branch goals and objectives are strategically aligned.Realign the management structure as needed to accommodate changes to the business. Develops and installs procedures and controls to promote communication and adequate information flow.Ensures that all divisional activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state and federal regulations and laws governing business operationsParticipate in marketing strategy meetings and maintains close contact with major business customers; participates in direct calls with customersReviews market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, and identify growth markets. Represents Company at industry meetings to promote products/servicesSource new real estate to align with growth goals and etnry into new markets. Strong product/service development experience and domestic transportation backgroundPossesses working knowledge of operating systems sufficient to direct efficiency and recommend system improvements—TMS, WMS, YMS.Directly manage 2-5 employees at the Director and/or Manager level Qualifications Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.
