VP of Operations

Job Summary:
The Vice President of Operations for the Cavco Insurance Division is responsible for the administrative and day-to-day operations of the division, overseeing the Policy Processing, Accounts Receivable, Customer Service, Licensing departments, and other operational areas. This role focuses on driving process improvement, ensuring operational excellence, and implementing strategies that enhance efficiency and align with company goals.

 

Core Responsibilities/Duties:
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

Standardize Procedures and Document Processes: Establish and maintain standardized procedures and comprehensive process documentation to ensure consistency, scalability, and sustainability in operations. Lean Principles and Workflow Optimization: Implement lean principles to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and drive continuous improvement across all operational functions. Operational Efficiency and Customer Service: Drive process improvement initiatives focused on enhancing operational efficiency and delivering exceptional customer service. Technology and Software Roadmap: Develop and oversee a long-term software and technology roadmap to modernize operations, including the evaluation, selection, and implementation of insurance software and tools. BPO Integration and Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate business process outsourcing (BPO) into operations, providing oversight and management of BPO team members to align with company objectives. Project Management: Lead project management efforts to implement new processes, systems, and tools that enhance operational performance and support strategic growth initiatives. Resource and Facility Management: Assess personnel and resource needs to support growth and operational goals. Oversee physical facilities, plan for future office expansions, and manage tasks related to office operations to ensure adequate infrastructure for growth. Operational Leadership: Leverage industry expertise to position the Cavco Insurance Division as a leader in operational excellence, setting benchmarks for efficiency, customer satisfaction, and innovation within the insurance industry.

 

 

Qualifications:

Proven experience in operational leadership roles, preferably within the insurance industry. Expertise in process improvement, process documentation, and implementing lean principles. Familiarity with insurance software systems and their application to streamline operations. Strong project management skills and experience managing BPO teams or integrating BPO into operations. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

 

Required job skills:

5 years’ experience in leadership in an insurance organization. Experience with lean management principles, including standard work creation. Experience selecting and implementing new insurance software solutions Plus: BPO management, AI tool development and deployment, lean certifications (i.e. six sigma), insurance agency operations and software familiarity in addition to insurance carrier operations and software familiarity.
