Responsible for all Kentucky Trailer Manufacturing operational activities in Louisville KY, including achieving planned financial, quality, safety, and growth objectives. Work collaboratively with KT Group President, Finance and Commercial Sales Team to achieve targeted volume and revenue expectations and to provide quality products with a customer-centric focus. Over-sees and manages factory operations across a multi-location environment.

Create a Safety First and Always Culture and champion the safety of all employees by requiring commitment from all members of the organization at all levels of the organization and a spirit of continuous improvement toward the goal of an incident-free workplaceDevelop long-term strategic and annual operating plans for the divisionEstablish annual performance goals and long-term development plans for key, senior division managers and direct reports assuring that every employee understands their role in safety as a top priorityProvide direction, development, leadership, and coaching to key, senior division managersHold key senior division managers accountable for excellent performance and established performance goals, addressing issues as required on time.Proactively identify and respond to unexpected changes in business conditions or in the company’s markets to capitalize on new opportunities and/or respond to unexpected challengesMaintains interaction and keeps open communication with associates by answering questions and explaining policies and procedures; monitors associate morale; responds to ideas to improve associate engagement.Develops and maintains a continuous improvement strategy that embodies product quality, lean initiatives and waste reduction throughout the value chainWorks to create and maintain a production schedule that satisfies commitments to our customers while ensuring maximum effectiveness of the manufacturing enterpriseLeads and supports the manufacturing engineering team as they seek to maintain existing equipment and processes while developing new in conjunction with the continuous improvement and research and development teams

Summary of Position Requirements:

Successful candidates must have:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or other technical discipline.Excellent (or rapidly improving) safety record at his/her facility.Minimum of 10 years in a manufacturing environment with a proven record of success and increasing responsibility.Experience or certification in Lean Manufacturing with the ability to demonstrate measurable successes in efficiency improvements and cost reduction.Excellent Written and Oral communication skills.Excellent problem-solving skills.Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects/priorities simultaneously.Must be willing to live and work in the greater Louisville, KY area.
