CHS operates 71 acute-care hospitals and more than 1,000 other sites of care, including physician practices, urgent care centers, freestanding emergency departments, occupational medicine clinics, imaging centers, cancer centers and ambulatory surgery centers. **Summary** The Corporate Vice President of Practice Clinical Services is a high-level leadership position responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight for all clinic care services within CHS. This role requires a visionary and experienced physician leader with a passion for ambulatory care and a proven track record of success in improving quality, engagement, and efficiency. The VP works in a partnership with the VP of Practice Operations to lead Provider Practice Services (PPS) in CHS. PPS is currently comprised of over 800 locations with approximately 2200 providers in 14 states. Direct reports include quality, care continuity and the physician advisory council. The role reports directly to the executive team at CHS. **Responsibilities** + Provide strategic leadership and direction for provider practice services, developing and implementing a comprehensive vision for the future of ambulatory care delivery. + Oversee the development and implementation of clinical programs, policies, and protocols for clinic care settings. + Oversee provider governance structures and processes to maintain professional standards of practice, safety and quality. + Champion quality improvement initiatives and ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, and efficient care to all patients across the clinic network. + Translate efforts in quality, safety and care to Value Based Care and Pay for performance results. + Lead and collaborate with regional and local leaders to ensure consistency and best practices across the organization. + Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, administrators, and payers. + Oversee performance improvement initiatives + Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory standards. + Participate in developing and managing the provider practice services budget, optimizing resource allocation to achieve strategic goals. + Stay abreast of the latest trends and innovations in ambulatory care and implement strategies to leverage these advancements. + Serve as a national spokesperson for the organization's ambulatory care services. + Practice transformation work for Team Based Care for Primary Care, Specialist, & APC partnering **Qualifications** + Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree and a valid medical license. + Master’s degree in business administration (MBA), MPH or MHSA. + Board certification in a primary care specialty or relevant subspecialty. + Extensive experience in ambulatory care leadership, with a minimum of 10 years in a leadership role. + Proven track record of success in improving quality, engagement, and efficiency in ambulatory care settings. + Strong understanding of healthcare policy and regulatory issues impacting ambulatory care. + Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. + Strategic vision and the ability to think creatively and innovatively. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. **Physical Demands:** In order to successfully perform this job, with or without a reasonable accommodation, the following are outlined below: + The Employee is required to read, review, prepare and analyze written da ta and figures, using a PC or similar, and should possess visual acuity. + The Employee may be required to occasionally climb, push, stand, walk, reach, grasp, kneel, stoop, and/or perform repetitive motions. + The Employee is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions and; therefore, job functions are typically performed under conditions such as those found within general office or administrative work.
