VP of Sales Private Label Mattresses

We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a VP of Sales-Private Label Mattresses within our sales team to help support our bedding  business.  Did you know we have been revolutionizing the sleep industry since 1883?  That’s right!  In fact, we hold the original patent on a spiral steel coil bed spring, filed way back in 1885.  Since then, we have been an industry leader in guaranteeing you get the best sleep possible.  If you join our team, your work will ensure people across the world have a little more comfort in their lives.

 

As a VP of Sales-Private Label Mattresses you will have the opportunity to drive the sales strategy and execution for our private label mattress products.  Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by expanding our market presence and securing relationships with key retailers.  The team you will be working with is collaborative and innovative, and values challenging work and diversity of thought. 

So, what will you be doing as a(n) VP of Sales-Private Label Mattresses?

Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to increase market share and revenue for private label mattresses. Leadership & Team Management: Has experience leading, mentoring, and developing a high- performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape; use insights to drive sales tactics and product positioning. Retailer Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners, negotiating contracts and driving collaborative business growth. Sales Targets & KPIs: Set, track, and achieve sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs); analyze sales data to monitor performance and adjust strategies as needed. Product Launches: Coordinate with product development and marketing teams to ensure successful launches of new private label mattresses. Budget Management: Oversee the sales budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and adherence to financial goals. Brand Representation: Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the private label mattress line.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

10 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the mattress or related industry. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field. Exceptional leadership and team management abilities. Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills. Market analysis and strategic planning. Ability to travel frequently to meet with retail partners and attend industry events.
