VP of Talent

The Vice President of Talent Acquisition and Learning and Development (VP of Talent) is a leader responsible for developing and executing the company’s talent acquisition and learning and development strategies. The VP of Talent will oversee all aspects of talent acquisition and associate learning and development, ensuring alignment with the company’s mission, vision, and values.

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition:

Develop and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy to attract top talent across all levels of the organization, including high-volume recruitment Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing talent acquisition team. Establish strong relationships with key internal stakeholders to understand their talent needs and ensure alignment with business objectives. Utilize data-driven insights to refine recruitment processes and improve the quality of hires. Oversee the development and execution of employer branding initiatives to enhance the company’s reputation as an employer of choice. Implement best candidate sourcing, interviewing, and selection practices to ensure a diverse and inclusive workforce. Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies, job boards, and other talent acquisition partners.

Learning & Development:

Design and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy to foster associate career paths and development. Lead the development and delivery of training programs, workshops, and other learning initiatives Collaborate with department leaders to identify skills gaps and develop targeted training programs Implement performance management processes that support continuous development and career progression. Utilize learning management systems (LMS) to track and report on employee development activities. Ensure learning and development programs are aligned with the company’s strategic goals and cultural values.

Leadership & Strategy:

Act as a strategic partner to the EVP of HR and other senior leaders, providing insights and recommendations on talent-related matters. Develop and manage the talent acquisition and learning & development budgets. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in talent management, bringing innovative ideas to the organization. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, feedback, and professional growth. Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives within the talent functions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; 10+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition and/or learning & development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Proven track record of developing and implementing successful talent acquisition and learning & development strategies. Willingness and ability to be a working member of the team, solving for problems and tackling issues Strong EQ – understanding that behaviors are just as important as results. Ability to influence and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to drive decision-making. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Experience with HR technologies, including applicant tracking systems (ATS) and learning management systems (LMS).
