Aspirus is seeking a VP - Patient Care & Chief Nursing Officer - UP Region to join the team for any of the 3 facilities in Laurium, MI, Ironwood, MI or Iron River, MI!
The Vice President of Patient Care Services/ Chief Nurse Officer is responsible for the practice of nursing and associated outcomes within their respective Business Unit(s) by ensuring consistency in the standard of nursing practice across the clinical settings. As a member of the executive team, supports and facilitates an interdisciplinary team approach to the overall delivery of care to patients, families, and the community. This includes creating a culture where collaboration is valued and excellence in clinical care redesign and education is promoted and achieved to meet the evolving needs. Leads quality, safety, Pathway to Excellence, workforce planning and stabilization, and transforming initiatives. Ensures the vision of and the advancement of the profession of Nursing is considered in the strategy plan and framework.
Promotes an environment where nursing/clinical staff can flourish through professional development, improvement in workflow and workload, optimization of talent and resources, implementation and validation of best practices, consistent and clear communication including closed loop feedback, real time coaching, support of high reliability methods and tools, and creating opportunities for staff to have a voice in decisions that impact practice. Also, represents the Aspirus nursing division voice and perspective through involvement in system initiatives and committees.
Provide strategic vision, leadership, and oversight assuming all responsibility for the effectiveness of area(s) of responsibility. Leads the development of short- and long-term strategies, goals, objectives, and plans. Consistently “walks the talk” serving as a role model of organization values. Interacts at a high level of expertise with other vice presidents and executives within the organization.
Scope: Large, diverse, and complex organizational component or division within Aspirus, with business unit, regional and/or system responsibilities.
Experience/Qualifications
Valid and current Michigan registered nurse license or compact licenseBachelor’s Degree in Nursing from accredited school required (BSN)Master’s in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or similar requiredCertification in Leadership/HC and/or DNP preferred.Minimum of 10 Years Healthcare experience.Minimum of 7 years in role(s) with progressive leadership and scope.Annual competencies as required by Aspirus and/or various regulatory agencies based on entity and/or job deposition, or scope of services.Employee Benefits
