Services Role:
The Canadian VP Services will be responsible for Pre Sales and Delivery of consulting services, as well as collaborating across North America for Managed Services and best practices.
Insight Canada is on a mission to balance our portfolio and increase our service penetration. We need to be stickier with clients, increase our deal size, and leverage the scale, best practices, and capabilities across North America and offshore. Currently, services represent less than 10% of our revenue. The mandate is to reach 10% in the next 12 months and, over the next two years, achieve 20% while retaining our product growth in line with market pace.

Services strategy mapping our solutions portfolio – identifying the core capabilities that we will continue investing in and building, capabilities that we will partner internally for, capabilities that we will partner externally for, and supporting M&A activities. A clear strategy on what we will deliver/build, partner, and buy Supporting and enabling the sales organization as we upskill our sales talent to drive solution sales (currently approximately 20% of our sales talent can sell services) Effective operating model and organizational structure to deliver this growth, leveraging Insight’s global, North American, and offshore capabilities Delivering services excellence around process, governance, and contracting discipline Developing, mentoring, and growing the technical and pre-sales technical team Effective P&L management
What you’ll do at Insight
Develop, implement and grow Canadian services capabilities while leveraging the North American strategy Direct operations and profitability of the Services organization to include our Consulting practices, lifecycle services, and IT staffing. Working and collaborating with US around Managed Services – While the delivery of Managed Services is led by our US team, the accountability for client deliverables and growth resides within this role Be part of Insight Canadian leadership team in planning and executing corporate growth and evaluating performance against objectives. Develop/evolve and implement varied delivery models for solutions to drive efficiency and profitability across engagements - such as use of offshore, near shore, and early career talent Promote and maintain our positive culture that fosters teamwork, open communication, and a commitment to excellence. Ensure team engagement initiatives are implemented and prioritized Strong communication abilities, written, spoken and presentation required. Must be able to participate in large public speaking events. Other duties as assigned.
What you’ll need to join Insight
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; MBA is highly desirable 10-12 years in management in a high-tech and/or IT service/solutions industry. Must possess strong leadership skills in teamwork and communication across multiple organizations. Must have a strong knowledge of IT products and services. Must be able to understand P&L’s, SG&A and other related corporate finances. Must have a strong understanding of Canadian market as it relates to technical solutions and be able to develop plans to penetrate targeted client bases. Demonstrated strong leadership skills required. Ability to work in a “less” mature services organization as we continue developing maturity around sales capabilities, process and governance. Strong communication abilities, written, spoken and presentation required. Recommend best offer courses of action to promote increases in margin and revenue contributing to the overall success of Insight. Must be able to show a proven track record of consistently exceeding corporate objectives and quotas.
