Discover more about us at www.amerihealthcaritas.com . The VP of Strategy and Planning leads the development and execution of the organization’s strategic initiatives. This role is crucial in driving long-term growth and competitive advantage. The VP will work closely with the executive team to shape the company’s vision, oversee the strategic planning process, and ensure alignment of strategic goals across the organization. This role will serve as a strategic counselor to the executive team on matters related to the organization’s strategy and business plan and the assessment of the company’s performance against that plan. **Essential Functions** : • Design the Enterprise Strategy framework and process, lead the development of the multi-year Enterprise Strategy, and lead the monitoring of progress against the Enterprise Strategy to pressure test course and speed. • Direct the development of the Enterprise Business Plan (EBP) for Board approval and the continued maturation of the EBP process. • Lead the development of the Enterprise Growth Strategy and Plan, including leadership across product segments to develop product growth plans. • Drive ad hoc strategic initiatives assigned by the CEO and Executive Council • Manage advisory firms on Enterprise Strategy and ad hoc engagements. **Education/Experience:** • Bachelor’s Degree required. Preferred majors: business, health care administration, or engineering. • MBA Degree preferred. • 10+ years of working knowledge of the healthcare industry required. • 10+ years of strategic planning experience required. • 10+ years of management consulting and/or corporate strategy/development experience required. • Proven track record leading multiple successful strategic planning efforts in a comparably complex environment. • Strong track record of building and leading high-performing teams/departments. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills. • Expert user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook). • Strong persuasion and negotiation skills, and the ability to engage, challenge, and influence one’s thinking to effect change throughout the organization. • Strong analytic and intellectual abilities with an entrepreneurial spirit and drive. **NOTE:** AmeriHealth Caritas utilizes a hybrid work environment with associates working from home two days a week and in the office three days a week.
