VP/SVP - WCR Policy Governance Manager - Banking and International Risk (BIR)
**My multinational banking client hiring urgently!!** **Role: VP/SVP -** **WCR Policy Governance Manager - Banking and International Risk (BIR)** **Location: Remote & NYC, NY - 10013(Hybrid)** **Position type: 3+ months with high possibility of extension/Conversion as FTE** **Pay range: $75 - $82/hr on W2 (All Inclusive)** **Job Description:** The Banking and International Risk (BIR) Policy & Governance team directly supports Client’s Head of BIR and establishes robust governance for all Wholesale Credit Risk (WCR) Policy, Standards, and Procedures. This ensures efficient management of multi-disciplinary processes and regulatory requirements. As a key member of the WCR Policy & Governance team, the Policy Governance Manager will drive the strategic vision and oversight across the lifecycle of the WCR Framework, Policy, Standards, and Procedures. This lifecycle includes the development, enhancement, implementation, issuance, periodic review, compliance, and oversight of all WCR documents and processes. This Manager will also collaborate across all Businesses, In-Business Credit Risk (IBCR), Risk Management, Policy teams, Internal Audit, Technology, and senior management across the firm. The individual will support the ongoing transformation efforts within this area. **Key Responsibilities:** + Policy Advisory and Strategy: Provide guidance to the 1st and 2nd Lines of Defense regarding Policy requirements, interpretations, and compliance. + Policy Development: Provide strategic input into the development and enhancement of all WCR Policy, Standards, and Procedures, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and simplification. Proactively identify continuous improvement opportunities in the compliance and review processes. + Policy Implementation and Enforcement: Engage with Businesses and Global Functions to track and influence the implementation of WCR Policy requirements. + Regulatory Engagement: Lead and participate in all regulatory engagements related to WCR Policy and related documents. + Communication: Coordinate with key stakeholders to roll out timely communications, training sessions, newsletters, etc. + Development Value: The successful candidate will be part of Client's significant transformation efforts, actively engaging across multiple business lines. The candidate will gain organizational exposure to senior management across Client. **Qualifications:** + 8+ years of experience in Policy development and governance + Wholesale Credit Risk or related Risk Management experience is a plus (not required) + Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions through concise and clear messaging + Ability to perform independently, stay organized, and demonstrate flexibility + Highly motivated, strong attention to detail, and a team-oriented mindset + Knowledge and understanding of financial services is a plus + Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required; an advanced degree is a plus (not required) If this is a role that interests you and you’d like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
