VP System Supply Chain Operations

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The corporate Vice President (VP) of System Supply Chain Operations leads both acute and non-acute supply chain operations. This role ensures a consistent, cost-effective approach to supply chain strategies across the organization. Key responsibilities include overseeing all operational functions and managing supply chain executive directors, regional directors, and non-acute leaders. The VP will engage with market executives to strengthen relationships among supply chain operations, clinical operations, and finance, ensuring alignment across AdventHealth. Additionally, this role aims to provide consistent service across all sites through a unified system-wide approach.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

· Works directly with the SVP, System Supply Chain to communicate internally on major supply chain initiatives and externally with strategic partners to build and develop partnerships.

· Leads, evaluates, and develops a system-wide approach for end-to-end supply chain operations integration that delivers customer service and proactively communicates with key market leaders to build credibility and foster relationships.

· Ensures the consistency and evolution of a supply chain operations vision, strategic plan, and annual operating plan, including inventory management, direct and indirect material purchasing, and capital.

· Collaborates with the Value Analysis leader and team to support and evolve system-wide processes for product conversions, standardization, and utilization projects.

· Ensures developed processes improve supply utilization, contract compliance, and maximize integration and standardization of products.

· Partners with various leaders across AH in areas of cost control, including IT, General and Administrative, and equipment purchases.

· Collaborates with Supply Chain and Business Services Executive Cabinet members

· Collaborates with VP of Design and Construction to ensure consistent standards align with future projects for docks, hospital warehouse, and supply rooms.

· Reviews and communicates performance of strategic initiatives by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and metrics, advancing solutions, and ensuring all interdependencies are incorporated.

· Partners with the Inventory Control Team to improve and manage inventory at hospital and non-acute sites.

· Accountable for compliance with scope of responsibility for DNV, Joint Commission, and other regulatory requirements for supply management at the facilities overseen.

· Establishes professional, effective relationships with physicians, clinicians, and leadership across the system.

· Develops and executes aligned strategies around the utilization and standardization of medical, surgical, and clinical supplies.

· Promotes and collaborates as a unified leadership team to drive culture.

· Evaluates and modifies quality improvement initiatives and metrics to drive correct behavior and affect results.

· Provides leadership in workforce planning, employment decisions, talent development, recruiting, and retention programs.

· Mentors and coaches staff to meet departmental objectives regarding best practices and customer service.

· Ensures a complete succession plan, including their own position, and actively mentors others into leadership roles.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, and/or Supply Chain.

· Eight years of experience in procurement management and inventory control in healthcare or medical device industry.

· Five years of leadership experience within healthcare or medical device industry.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

· Master’s Degree in business or related field
