We’re empowering smarter medical and economic decision making to help transform the way people manage their health at all stages of life. Our Point of Care diagnostic portfolio spans key health and therapeutic areas, including Chemistry, Electrolytes, Hematology, Blood Gases, Coagulation, Endocrinology, Cardiac Markers, Neurology, and Informatics. We are currently seeking a Utility Associate for our Ottawa cartridge manufacturing facility, within our Manufacturing team. As a key member of the Manufacturing team, you will schedule and execute utility services in support of Wafer Fab Manufacturing, under the direction of the Operational Team Leader, in addition to processing production material. **What You’ll Do** · Act as a role model for safety by following all operating, environmental and health and safety procedures and guidelines and using personal protective equipment appropriately. · Act as a role model and customer service provider to Wafer Fab Manufacturing team. · Conduct all in-fab chemical recharge and chemical waste management activities in order to meet production targets. · Collaborate with all production team members to ensure priority chemical handling services are provided to maximize production efficiencies. · Work with Chemistry and Operations teams to minimize waste and ensure timely delivery of solutions. · Work with Chemical Handlers and Operations in parallel to minimize waste and ensure timely delivery of bulk chemicals. · Maintain a focus on the next shift’s success; develop and maintain a menu of services to ensure all raw materials and other key consumables are available to designated processes at all times. · Regularly monitor all process baths to ensure just-in-time recharges without exceeding bath life or usage limits. · Monitor functionality of all chemical delivery and waste management systems, reporting all findings promptly to the Team Leader to prevent spills, chemical exposures and process scrap. · Ensure careful communication of equipment availability to work cell operators before, during and after all chemical recharge activity. · Responsible for product safety during all chemical recharge activities that may interrupt production. · Maintain a production focus in key bottleneck areas, ensuring scheduled coverage for lunch and break periods to ensure team goals are met. · Ensure consumables and masks are requested from Supply Chain in a timely manner. · Provide production sustaining back-up for consumables and masks for Wafer Fab teams in the absence of Supply Chain personnel. · Ensure accurate and timely communication of supply chain issues to associates on incoming shifts. · Conduct all Photomask cleaning activities, ensuring clean masks are available for production and that expired masks are removed from production. · May participate in projects as directed by Operational Team Leader. **Required Qualifications** · High school diploma. · Two to five years’ experience in Operations. · Physical requirements: ability to do periodic heavy lifting. · Previous ERT or Joint Health and Safety Committee membership would be an asset. · Demonstrated mechanical aptitude would be considered an asset. · D-shift: 6:30pm to 6:30am Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights + alternating Saturday nights.
