SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Works under the direction of process engineers to keep fab and assembly processes running smoothly and helps with engineering evaluations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED

•    Dispositions on-hold product that does not require an NCMR, discerning routine quality problems     from more serious problems that require the attention of a process engineer.
•    Assist process engineer in isolation of root causes of quality issues, shutting down equipment or     processes that are not performing correctly, and containment of affected material.
•    Aid process engineering in carrying out evaluations and experiments.
•    Monitors process SPC data and notifies a Process Engineer when a process is in need of adjustment.
•    May train operators on manufacturing equipment and processes.
•    May make changes to process specifications or process run sheets as directed by Process     Engineering, and recommends needed changes to Process Engineering.
•    May do some equipment maintenance, including simple troubleshooting and preventative     maintenance.
•    Recommends equipment and fixture modifications.
•    Performs other related duties and tasks as required.

SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

•    Educational experience equivalent to a High School diploma with three years of related experience.
•    Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
•    Ability to work well as a team member.
•    Knowledge of various wafer fabrication tooling and testing equipment.
•    Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs.

COMPETENCIES

•    Semiconductor front-end and/or back-end processing techniques and equipment
•    Root cause analysis and problem containment
•    Record maintenance/computations/data plotting/simple curve and graph drawing
•    Test specimen preparation/general equipment operation
•    Computer skills

COMMENTS

The risk category explains whether or not employees are likely to come into contact with blood or body fluids while performing their jobs.  Risk category III states employment and procedures that do not require exposure.
