The US Employment Tax Expertise Manager will be located in the Chandler, AZ or San Diego, CA office and will report to the Employment Tax Senior Expertise Manager located in Veldhoven, Netherlands while also working closely with the Tax and Customs expertise teams located across the US. This position will oversee employment tax processes for all US locations while providing integrated and practical business advice. The position will involve interfacing with key stakeholders in the Chandler and San Diego offices, such as HR, C&B, legal, payroll and International Mobility Office departments. This position is a priority due to future expected company growth and the rapidly evolving US employment tax regulatory landscape.
Responsibilities include:
Provide guidance on payroll tax compliance requirements for US entitiesManage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, as well as other Tax and Customs team members, to identify US employment tax related topics, analyze issues and provide solutionsMonitor US employment tax regulatory and legislative changes and advise relevant internal stakeholders accordinglyParticipate in cross-sector projects, with a special focus on projects relating to US employment tax and payroll considerationsAssist US payroll teams in executing ongoing payroll compliance processesResearch and provide guidance on complex employment tax issues, including multi-state and cross-border situationsManage US employment tax inquiries, disputes, and auditsAssist in development and implementation of global employment tax strategyImprove automation of payroll and control processes in collaboration with US payroll teamSupport Tax and Customs and payroll expertise teams and address relevant prioritiesAssist global employment tax team with non-US projectsSome travel required (10-25%)Education and experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other business discipline (or equivalent experience)Relevant master’s degree and/or CPA preferred5-7 years US and international employment tax experienceExperience working in an international environment/multinational company, including colleagues in and outside the US.Skills

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:
$107,250-178,750Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.

Employees will also receive eight (8) hours of vacation leave every month and (13) paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
