Walmart Omni Business Analyst

Job Description:

The Walmart Omni Business Analyst will help to deliver our Walmart teams financial objectives (gross and net sales volume, trade spend, pricing, margin, retail sales and dollar share) through business and sales analytics support (weekly trends and distribution/features performance reporting) and business planning support (item/financial management, forecasting, features, line reviews).
 

This role will interact cross functionally with the Walmart Sales, Walmart Supply. Walmart Digital, Sales Strategy & Planning and Demand Planning teams.


This role requires strong functional and technical skills, analytical and financial acumen, planning and organizational skills and leveraging data and insights to generate actionable results.

What are we looking for?

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree1 year of experience in Sales or Category Management1 year of customer-facing experienceExperience working with Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel and PowerPointAbility to solve problems using data

Preferred Qualifications:

Digital commerce experienceExperience with Nielsen and/or Luminate Analytics

What will be your key responsibilities?

Omni (Stores + Digital) Business and Sales Analytics:

Weekly Trends: develop capabilities, manage refresh/accuracy, deliver actionable insights including key Mars and Walmart metrics: sales, supply, margin, share, households; delivered Weekly via email to Mars team and biweekly live with Walmart.Growth Drivers Post Performance: develop capabilities and deliver actionable insights for distribution launched and features/displays executed including key Mars and Walmart metrics: sales, velocities, lift, incrementality, supply, share, households; delivered ad hoc based on execution.

Omni (Stores + Digital) Business Planning Support:

Item/Financial Management: own set up, attribution, cost/OI changes, trade deductionsForecasting: support monthly gross sales volume forecasting process: base run rates, growth drivers execution timing/expectations, supply considerations, etc. Support in demand planning reviews and submissions.Features/Displays: support strategic focus areas, creation, Walmart sell-in, set up, Retail team compliance management.Line Reviews: support data pulls and insights generation to enable distribution and activation sell-in; story telling developmental opportunity to manage one category or brand E2E in year 2.
