What will I be doing?

\n

A Wardrobe Attendant is responsible for ensuring the proper receipt and distribution of clean, pressed uniforms for team members to maintain a well-groomed appearance. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

\n\nReceive and issue all uniforms. Issue all uniforms on an exchange basis only, in order to maintain uniform control. Store old uniforms until otherwise directed by supervisor. \nWash and Iron Team members and guest clothing. \nAccept laundry from team members, verify, count and inventory what was collected.\nPrepare dry cleaning and laundry lists. Send and receive dry cleaning and laundry for processing. \nPress Shower curtains and banquets skirting. \nDelivers guest requests of towels and shampoo and other misc. items., this may also include shining of shoes. \nOccasionally makes beds in guest rooms and clean bathrooms when shorthanded on room attendants\n

What are we looking for?

\nEDUCATION
High school graduate or equivalent preferred

EXPERIENCE
Previous uniform room experience preferred

GROOMING
All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).\n\nSUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS \nIn addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company. \n\n\nSew on buttons and make minor repairs to uniforms.\nMake repairs to linens and bedspreads as requested.\nOther duties as assigned, such as assisting other staff in uniform room.\nClean rooms as assigned by supervisor on occasion.\n\n\nSPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY \nThe individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. \n\n\nGood organization skills for tracking uniform inventory.\nOperation of different types of equipment (i.e. dry cleaning machine, washing machine, phone, dryer, presser, etc.) \nAbility to comprehend and follow instructions from supervisor \nBasic ability to comprehend English language sufficient to understand and communicate information for reasons such as safety and security, e.g. Product safety labels and emergency instructions \n\n\nWhat will it be like to work for Hilton?
