Summary

 

The Wardrobe Technician is responsible for ensuring that Live! Casino & Hotel team member, vendor, and special event uniforms are maintained to a high standard. This role assists with all duties of the Wardrobe Attendant and coordinates and distributes uniforms. This role expertly fits, tailors, and customizes uniforms while providing excellent customer service consistent with Live! Casino core standards and brand attributes. This role works as a part of a small team to help our property and Team Members look and feel the best they can be.

Specific Responsibilities and Duties

Distributes uniforms as required by Live! CasinoMaintains a neat and orderly uniform room and completes accurate monthly inventory of all uniformsExpertly fits team members for uniforms and tailors them for a customized fitBuilds custom uniforms for non-standard sizes as neededRepairs and maintains uniforms to extend the life of the clothesCreates uniform accessories and customizes uniforms as neededAssists with coordinating dry cleaning, laundry service, and the chef uniform rental programAssist with locker assignments and maintaining an inventory of lockers, locks and combinations.Creates engraved name badges to ensure all TMs have proper identificationConstructs and embellishes Showgirl costumes, headpieces, and accessories as neededMaintains, repairs, and cleans showgirl costumes to a high standardAssists with setting up showgirl dressing rooms and helps showgirls in and out of costumes as neededAssists other departments as needed including creating visual displays for Marketing Promotions or holidaysOther duties as assigned

Job Requirements (skills, knowledge, and abilities) 

Must have a basic understanding of tailoring and garment constructionMust be able to follow and understand instructionsMust be able to use a computer and Microsoft softwareKnowledge of how to use a sewing machineMust have basic math skills for inventory controlMust be responsive to the needs of team membersMust have excellent written and oral communications skills in order to communicate with team members, vendors, and upper management.Two (2) to Four (4) years of experience with wardrobe is preferred.Knowledge of and experience with alterations, uniform fitting, sewing and/or tailoring is required.

 

Educational Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferredMust be able to comply with all state gaming regulations, which may include obtaining a license.

Physical Requirements

24/7 environment requiring extended hours including evenings and weekendsMust be able to lift and/or push up to 30 lbs.Must be able to work standing for up to 4 hours at a timeMust be able to work in small, confined areaMust be able to bend at the waistMust be able to reach above the headMust be able to climb ladders and use Genie Lifts
