**Summary**
The Warehouse 1 position is responsible for executing daily warehouse activities and processes as defined by the Warehouse Supervisor. The responsibilities come with a wide range of material handling throughout the plant, which includes packing of orders, storage and labeling of products, loading and unloading of trucks under general supervision and reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor. Additionally, a Warehouse 1 employee will utilize equipment throughout the workday to facilitate these aforementioned responsibilities. This equipment typically includes the use of forklifts, stackers, overhead cranes, banding and packaging supplies.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
_To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform the following essential duties satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned to address business needs and changing business practices._
+ Loads and unloads trucks
+ Picks and packs orders as needed from both inside and outside warehouse locations
+ Moves, stocks, and receives material from outside vendors and internal departments
+ Selects and delivers raw material for production support
+ Assists in inventory level maintenance and cycle counts
+ Operates warehouse equipment, such as fork trucks, stackers, order pickers, and overhead crane systems, as needed to complete tasks
+ Follows warehouse safety regulations
+ Provides leadership, coaching and/or mentoring to less experienced team members
+ General housekeeping and 5S duties (sort, shine, straighten, standardize, sustain)
+ Grinds, assembles, and/or product handling as needed
+ Overtime required as needed

**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Ability to read, write, and understand English
+ Basic computer knowledge and skills
+ Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication)
+ Ability to read a tape measure
+ Ability to follow oral and written instructions
+ Ability to understand systematic organization methods such as sorting like items and materials, and moving items into labeled warehouse locations
+ Ability to discover the root cause of problems in order to identify appropriate solutions
+ Ability to make decisions and solve problems using sound inclusive reasoning and judgement, proactively anticipate needs and prioritize action steps
+ Ability to collaborate and communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing, at all levels of the organization
+ Ability to work independently and as a team member.
+ Ability to organize and prioritize projects and information with accuracy
+ Ability to work effectively with accurate turnaround under tight timeframes
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ High School diploma or equivalency test/GED
+ 6+ months experience with forklifts, inventory, loading/packing orders, and unloading trucks
