Description Job Summary ANS is seeking a Warehouse and Logistics Manager who will be responsible for creating and maintaining an efficient operation of all regional warehousing & logistics centers by providing oversight and support in all aspects including material management, logistics, facility management, employee relations, and the safeguarding of inventory stock investments. Responsibilities + Develop and implement standard operating procedures to ensure all items received are safe and secure until delivered timely to their destination. (Receiving, storing, preparing, and shipping). + Plan and direct all warehousing and logistics activities in assigned facilities (to include multiple locations) to control receipt, maintenance, and distribution inventory in support of operating departments in compliance with standard operating procedures. + Monitor operations and inventory to identify trends and to improve efficiencies of operation. + Manage warehouse associates, monitoring work to ensure the safe use of warehouse equipment and that the standard operating procedures are being followed. + Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with executive management and other team leads. + Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives to develop employees. + Ensure compliance with equipment/vehicle maintenance and repair plans to maximize the life of the Department’s material handling/storage and fleet equipment investment and ensure safety of operators. Manage facility maintenance and repair plans to ensure safe work environment and adequate maintenance and repair. + Communicate with other departments to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner. Position Requirements Preferred Skills + Excellent leadership skills, including the abilities to set goals, motivate and manage conflict. + Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening. + Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with key internal and/or external stakeholders. + Must have knowledge of inventory controls systems. + Strong knowledge of Material Management and Warehousing methods and procedures. + Good project management skills, including strong decision-making, problem-solving and strategic planning abilities. + Exceptional time management and organization skills. + Comfortable using inventory management software and other organizational computer applications. Education & Experience + Bachelor’s Degree in business, Transportation, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education from an accredited college and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. + Minimum 5 years related experience. + Experience implementing an inventory tracking system. + Valid Driver’s License. Work Environment & Physical Demands The employee must be able and willing to travel as needed to manage all warehouse locations. Compliance with all Company safety procedures is a requirement. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a Full-Time Exempt position working out of the Albany Office. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. An appropriate level of communication about expected hours of work between the remote employee and supervisor will be agreed to as part of the discussion process and will be more formal during the trial period. With on call duties as assigned relating to ANS Advanced Network Services user issues after hours’, weekends, and holidays.
