**Job Title: Warehouse Assembler** **Job Description** Efficiently unload and load Amazon packages from freight trucks to cargo containers for plane transportation. Assembling the packages inside of the cargo container to maximize space and fit maximum packages. **Responsibilities** + Unload and load Amazon packages onto cargo containers from trucks. Trucks will come in and Amazon packages will already be loaded on carts. + Break down and remove packages from the carts and load them into cargo containers for airline transportation. + Assemble items 'Tetris style' to maximize package occupancy in the cargo container. + Place small boxes and mail into larger bags, then put them on the cargo container. + Maintain accurate inventory records using scanning and tracking systems. + Follow safety protocols and conduct quality control checks. + Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively. **Essential Skills** + Ability to lift up to 50lbs + Reliable transportation (at Sacramento Airport and no public transit available) + Great attendance (strict attendance policy) + Willingness to submit to drug and background checks and airport 10-year background check + Must have steel-toed boots that cover the ankle **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience as a ramp agent, loading/unloading trucks, cargo handler, warehouse packing, material handling, general labor, warehouse worker + Skills in loading, unloading, palletizing, inventory management, and order picking **Why Work Here?** Enjoy hands-on training and certifications at the airport. The facility has open freight gates, so the temperature is not regulated, resulting in cold conditions in winter and hot conditions in summer. Must be fully flexible for day or night shifts and open to working weekends. Days off vary according to needs and flight schedule. The schedule changes every 90 days. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Sacramento, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
