Our logistics department has a dynamic position opening for a new colleague to join our team as **Warehouse Assistant** . This role will be based in our production site in **Delft, Netherlands** and will start on a temporary basis (one-year contract).
The Warehouse assistant main task is to prepare and execute material flow from the moment it is received from suppliers or purchase orders up to the flow of material to our production units trough job work orders. The warehouse assistant main skills plan, coordinate and manage the flow of material with the objective that the overall stock is accurate and to ensure a quick turn-around from material coming in and processed and released to the production.
This role also includes maintaining a safe and clean warehouse design with correct allocation of material to optimize warehouse storage. Its key for this role to prioritizing activities and to manage different internal as external stakeholders. As **Warehouse Assistant** you should display excellent multitasking abilities which are the following but shall not be limited to:
**In this role, a typical day will look like:**
In this role you will have the responsibility for receiving and process incoming supplies and materials, pick and fill orders from stock, manage, organize and retrieve stock from the warehouse.
+ Prepare, pick work orders for the production units;
+ Receive and process warehouse inbound material; (pick, unload, label, store).
+ Stock-count/Cycle Count;
+ Replenish stock inside the production units
+ Monitoring and maintaining accuracy of data entered in our ERP system
+ Allign and communicate with internal and external stakeholders such as but not limited to: Procurement, Production, Planning as well as Logistics service providers (trucking companies, courier services)
**The essential requirements of the job include:**
+ Proven work experience as a warehouse employee or a similar role in the logistics department
+ Use of or familiarity with measuring tools or inspection instruments;
+ Ability to lift heavy objects;
+ Some affiliates or willing to develop the ability to perform quality inspections on suppliers provided materials for damage, defects or deviations according to predefined specifications/technical drawings.
+ Good communication skills, preferable in Dutch and English
+ Basic Knowledge in Microsoft Office
