**Job Title: Warehouse Associate** **Job Description** Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using a computer. Pack and unpack items to be stocked in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards. Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors. Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas. Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electronic marking tools, or other labeling equipment. Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations. **Responsibilities** + Determine proper storage methods, identifications, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities. + Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to appropriate personnel. + Advise retail customers or internal users on the appropriateness of parts, supplies, or materials requested. + Confer with purchasing personnel and vendors regarding stock procurement and availability. + Recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock. + Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications. + Deliver or route materials to departments using hand truck, conveyor, or sorting bins. + Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock. + Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information. + Direct spouts and position receptacles, such as bins, carts, or containers so they can be loaded. + Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected. + Distribute work orders to departments. + Review documents and work orders to determine materials requirements or material priorities. **Essential Skills** + 6+ months warehouse experience + 6+ months working independently + Ability to lift up to 75lbs + Ability to stand for 10+ hours per day **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 6+ months customer service experience + 6+ months sit-down forklift experience + 6+ months computer experience - proficient in Word and inventory tracking systems + Ability to climb on top of rail cars to unhook cables - not afraid of heights + Will train on forklift **Why Work Here?** Join a dedicated team in a dynamic work environment where you can develop your skills and grow with the company. The team consists of four people. The dress code includes jeans, steel-toe boots, and layers as needed. The working hours are from 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
