JOB SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision of the Branch Manager, this position handles all warehouse duties including shipping and receiving, cylinder handling, and stocking of hard goods in the warehouse, loading/unloading trucks and may occasionally work in the showroom assisting customers with sales at the counter.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Stocking, storing, labeling, picking, packing and distribution of all materials and supplies.Physical receipt, checking and storage of delivered materials into the warehouse; performs inventory of warehouse materials.Enforces policies for proper receipt, storage and distribution of materials; reviews invoices.Operates a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.Ensures all safety rules are strictly observed.Follows company policies and procedures.Performs related duties as required.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ability to organize and control inventoried items.Perform general housekeeping duties as required.Other duties and projects as assigned.________________________Are you a MATCH?

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:                High school diploma or equivalent (GED).2-3 years of experience in warehouse operations and maintenance of warehouse equipment or an equivalent combination of training and experience preferred.Working knowledge of the industrial gas business and welding products is highly desirable.Forklift certified.SAP knowledge and experience a plus.Basic to intermediate proficiency in the use of the company’s computer operating system (SAP).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of inventory control methods and procedures, and the ability to apply such knowledge to practical situations.Knowledge of general policies and procedures, including safety and security measures, and the ability to practically apply such knowledge.Knowledge of the stock and inventories generally warehoused.Ability to organize and control inventoried items.Must be able to work overtime, when necessary.Ability to routinely lift 25 - 50 lbs, and occasionally lift 51 - 80 lbs.Ability to perform work during prolonged standing up to 8 hours; frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, feeling and repetitive motion also required.Ability to perform functions during occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling and finger activities.Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and background.Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
