One of our Lancaster Schools are seeking warehouse associates! **Job Title: Warehouse Associate** **Location: LANCASTER** **Pay: $15.83/hr** Shift: 6a-2p **QUALIFICATIONS:** **1 . High School Diploma or GED required.** **2. Valid PA Driver's License and good driving record required.** **3. Previous driving experience in large vans and trucks up to 24,000 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight.** **5. Working knowledge of proper warehouse procedures.** **6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.** **7. Ability to handle heavy and bulky supplies.** **8. Ability to operate storage equipment such as lift truck, tow motor/hand truck.** **9. Ability to demonstrate customer service skills and professionalism.** **10. AbiIity to operate a computer and applicable software and devices.** **11. Ability to support a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion.** **JOB GOAL: Maintain proper warehousing, receiving, distribution and supply management in the Food Service warehouse.** **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:** **1 . Receive incoming supplies from trucks, verify quantities against bill of lading and report all discrepancies, i.e., warehouse refusals, incorrect size and weight.** **2. Organize stock and materials for storage.** **3. Deliver supplies and catering items to designated buildings.** **5. Clean assigned areas with proper materials and equipment including dusting, emptying waste cans, vacuuming rugs, cleaning furniture, scrubbing and mopping.** **6. Operate equipment related to proper care of building and grounds.** **7. Sweep and shovel snow as necessary.** **8. Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.** **MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:** **1. Assist in the inventory of supplies.** **3. Assist in determining order quantities for bid categories.** **4. Care of grounds to include daily removal of debris.** **5. Assist in minor repairs.** **6. Act as back up to Truck Driver (Food Services) as assigned by supervisor.** **7. Replenish paper and soap to proper dispensers.** **TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Job calendar specific. Expected to report to work at the regularly scheduled start time during inclement weather delays.** **PHYSICAL/MENTAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:** **Physical Demands:** **Frequent standing/walking, bending, twisting, kneeling, , squatting, climbing, crawling, reaching, and lifting.** **Lift and carry 50-75 lbs. while descending stairs. Pushing/pulling up t0125 lbs.** **Sensory Abilities:** **Normal/Corrected vision.** **Visual acuity to read correspondence and computer screen.** **Auditory acuity to be able to use telephone and greet individuals. Ability to speak clearly and distinctly.** **Temperament:** **Ability to work as a member of a team.** **Must be courteous and able to deal effectively with people.** **Must be cooperative, congenial, and service oriented.** **Ability to work with limited supervision.** **Ability to be flexible.** **High degree of patience and tolerance.
