Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
JOB SUMMARY
Operational execution of key daily tasks associated with shipping and receiving Ensure incoming deliveries are receipted in properly and put away Maintain proper raw material replenishment levels in PSAs Perform system transactions for cables from Final QC Cut, package & store cables o Load flatbed trucks for customer shipments Safe forklift operation
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Expected to have full understanding of department and company procedures and policies Conduct safety walks within warehouse and throughout plant Effectively/professionally convey information internally and externally Wear proper PPE at all times in required areas Maintain compliance to training record requirement Promote Corning in a positive manner and lead by example Active good housekeeping and strict adherence to specific safety regulations and practices in day-to-day work Prepare necessary paperwork for finished goods cables including processing of cuts Effective, timely and accurate execution of outbound shipments with CLS designated carriers with the aim to improve efficiency in the warehouse, reduce transportation costs and meet customer requirements Ensure data integrity Work interactively with Stakeholders to ensure inventory and shipping accuracy, minimize shipping backlog and meet customers’ requirements Aid team members in SAP troubleshooting/training Responsible for ensuring charging of forklifts and other battery powered items Self-starter in areas of Kaizen & 5S

REQUIRED
3-5 years’ work experience in a logistics role Knowledge of Supply Chain processes such as warehousing, distribution and inventory management Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint Work experience with ERP business management software / systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, SAP, Oracle) Forklift Certification

The range for this position is $21.50 hourly rate - $26.25 hourly rate. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
