Under the direction of the Warehouse and Logistics Manager, the CMO/Inventory Specialist is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating all tasks related to inventory control within the warehouse and logistical areas including empty CMO pallet inventory. Such activities include inventory cycle count execution, inventory discrepancy identification and resolution, and also includes empty CMO pallet movement coordination. This role ensures that all empty CMO pallets are effectively coordinated for return to designated third-party storage facilities and also ensures inventory related activities are conducted correctly. This role will also be responsible for engaging with finance and external/financial auditing agencies involving inventory management matters.
Key Objectives/Deliverables:
Personnel Administration:
This role has no direct reports.This position will functionally support a 12-Hour shift (Day or Night).This position will be responsible for leading contractor employees in the coordination and execution of returnable CMO pallet inventory to appropriate third-party storage facilities.The CMO/Inventory Specialist will work with warehouse supervisors to ensure appropriate inventory counts are conducted and documented correctly.The CMO/Inventory Specialist will initiate recounts to warehouse supervisors if applicable.This position will also work directly with shift supervisors to conduct transactional data evaluations daily to ensure all movements between Warehouse and Production Operations exchanges are conducted correctly.Compliance:
Monitor execution, observe practices vs. procedures, provide feedback to staff and escalate issues to the WH&L Leadership.Participate in audits and inventory review meetings on a routine basis.Ensure all audit activities are completed on time.Participate in formal investigations and provide root cause analysis for observations associated with Inventory Management activities.Routine Operations:
Attend and/or lead all meetings pertaining to CMO inventory management.Routinely operate semi-automatic rack storage systems in the storage and retrieval of empty CMO pallet inventory.Ensure that Inventory Management data is collected, maintained and monitored on a daily basis and share any concerns to Process Team Daily meeting.Maintain all required documentation associated with inventory management activities.Assist in the development and review of IM procedures, equipment, and processes. Monitor the floor, observe practices vs procedures, escalate differences, discuss situations. Escalate these situations to WH&L Manager.Coordinate inventory count requirements to support needs with cross functional leadership.Others:
Follow all safety requirements and procedures and routinely inspects area for health and safety issues. Assist with implementation of counter measures from safety incident investigations. Work with area management and safety representatives to implement safety projects. Identify areas of opportunity for operational improvements and assist in implementation (e.g. procedure, equipment, or ticket changes).Support the WH&L Process Team using basic statistical tools to continually improve the process.Evaluate system inventory reports for manual warehouse areas to determine storage capacity and take appropriate action as required.Requirements (Education, Experience, Training):
High School Diploma required (Associates or Bachelor Degree a plus)5+ years experience preferably in Warehousing, Supply Chain and/or Inventory Management in a GMP environment.SAP/EWM experience a plus.Comfortable with interfacing with automated warehouse systems.Forklift/Walkie Stacker experience is required.Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Previous Inventory Management experience in a pharmaceutical environment preferred. Previous SAP/EWM experience is preferred.Basic command of the English language, both spoken and written.High degree of initiative, leadership, and responsibility.Ability to understand and demonstrate the practical use of Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices.Exercise good judgment in special situations and escalate appropriately according to written procedures.Good verbal, written communication and presentation skills.Ability to enter and collect data from various computerized systems.Ability to handle multiple priorities. Complete the required compliance training as well as "The Red Book", apply the knowledge, principles and requirements for daily work and in business relationships with customers, suppliers, employees, shareholders, etc.

Comply with the requirements established in the Safety Policy, Occupational Safety and Industrial Hygiene Policy, standard operating procedures (SOP) and all site safety rules.
Environmental
Use all office supplies efficiently. Recycle or re-use paper, glass, cardboard/board and any other recyclable materials Make copies on both sides of paper to minimize paper waste.
Use the email system as much as possible to minimize paper waste. Turn off lights and equipment when not in use to save energy. Observe, promote, and comply with EPA and internal environmental regulations where applicable.

Use of computer, printer, photocopier, general office supplies, telephone, fax, file system, manuals, catalogs and calculators. Protection and safety equipment such as: uniform, gowns, masks, safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves and coats. Motorized equipment and/or forklift.
Physical Demands
Light work that requires physical effort. It also requires communication skills, eye-hand-foot coordination, the ability to move, and fine and gross manual skills. Requires strength to push and pull objects. It involves body movements such as: bending, climbing, reaching, going up and down stairs. It also requires visual acuity, near and medium vision.
