Warehouse Coordinator

Job Summary

Provides support to warehouse function. Ensures that carriers are notified for freight pick-up and that the freight is routed properly. Prepares bills of lading and shipping manifests. Traces shipments and obtains proof of delivery. May answer inquiries regarding shipping status and expedite shipment when required.

Position Responsibilities

Creates inbound deliveries for productionAnalyzes and evaluates production scheduleCommunicates with production managers/team leads and supply planningMonitors transfer ribbon and handling unit stockSelects outbound from zout report and alter dates if necessary to match inbound deliveries from productionChecks the system for outbound order loading opportunitiesPrints loading and shipping documentsReconciles inbound delivery "packets"Collects unused handling unitsVerifies that all unused HU's have been accounted for and resolves issues with missed scansCommunicate with inventory control specialists or warehouse team leads to help find un-scanned HU'sRuns bin status reports to assist in finding un-scanned HU'sRuns inbound delivery monitor reports to verify that inbound deliveries have been accounted for and completedSchedules outbound shipments and occasional inbound deliveriesMonitors outbound shipment requests.Verifies available inventory and shipping material and confirms pick-up appointmentsCommunicates with Warehouse Dock Specialists and Supervisors to determine best time slots and capacity issuesFollows up on late or no show appointmentsCommunicates and maintains good rapport with carriers and customersCommunicates and follows up on issues with customer service representatives, Deployers, and transportation load plannersSend daily updates to carriers informing them of preloaded trailers.Ordering cars based on needs of the company and available capacity to loadRelay relevant information to supervisors and warehouse management

Position Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferredMinimum 3 years warehouse experience required, or a combination of education and experience.Experience controlling and maintaining records of materials in inventory, reconciling discrepancies, compiling information on receipt or disbursement of inventory, organizing company inventory in an accurate and efficient manner and controlling all system-related transactions that pertain to inventory.Must be PC literate: Use of SAP and MS Office computer programs are required.Ability to handle multiple situations at one time.Excellent organizational and planning skills.Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, monitors own work to ensure quality.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee will be exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature.
