Job Description

Position Overview:

The Warehouse Coordinator will be responsible for the timely and accurate organization and completion of all shipping-related tasks. This position will coordinate and track shipments, ensure all orders are packaged, labeled, and shipped in a safe and efficient manner, and communicate with vendors, customers, and other departments.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties: 

Abides by all Amcor’s Safety and Quality policies and procedures.Prepare and share daily shipping requirements with warehouse teamRun shipment report daily and process picksIdentify and communicate all potential problem areas (i.e. labeling, packaging, storage, and discrepancies) to the Warehouse SupervisorCommunicate with team regarding any issues or potential impact to warehouse operationsMonitor stock available for shipments to ensure on time, in full deliveriesCoordinate dock appointments with Sub Contractors when necessaryGenerate and fill out BOL, manifest, shipping inspection, and customs’ paperwork as needed  shipmentCoordinates other shipments, both LTL and FedEx, as necessary for special projects and stock transfers to other plantsCommunicate with all carriers and customers as required (e.g. delayed shipments, shipments not picked up)Must respond to carriers and customers with urgency through both written and oral communication.Complete AES for shipments out of the countryArranges for pick-up of ASF when necessaryEnsure customer and intra-company orders (Stock Transfer Orders) are shipped and received in a timely manner, with all required documentation (e.g. Customs Documentation)Monitor and report on freight exceptions (CCRA)Processes paperwork and identifies improvements and corrections to warehouse operationsOther duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Degree or equivalent3 to 5+ years previous work experience in warehouse environment (manufacturing warehouse preferred).Excellent written and oral communication skills.Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment. Must be flexible and able to work as needed to meet shipping deadlinesMust be able and willing to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.Ability to make priority decisions and independent judgment calls based on the situation at hand.Must be skilled in performing tasks on MS Excel, Word, and email applications. Must be able to learn, retain, and use additional computer systems (e.g., SAP, MII) within 30 days, and follow set procedures for shipping tasks.Must be motivated, possess a high attention to detail and able to work with minimum supervision.
