Summary

This role is responsible for the safe handling of products & medicines to meet Home Care order requirements in line with Good Documentation Practice (GDP), Good Warehouse Practice (GWP), Pharmacy Standard Operating Procedures and under the instruction of the Responsible Pharmacist.

Key AccountabilitiesReceive, process and action accordingly (including storage) all good-in products ensuring correct data entry and reconciliation of all receipts.Store products by batch and utilise first-expired first-out principles in compliance with temperature & storage condition requirements.Pick, dispense and dispatch products timely and accurately in accordance with the warehouse & pharmacy standard operating procedures and operational KPIs.Undertake frequent compliance checks within the warehouse operations in line with Baxter Management Systems (e.g. Quality, H&S, Environment, and Operational Excellence) and external requirements (Good Warehousing Practice & General Pharmaceutical Council).Advance any operational discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor and Responsible PharmacistRecord events (e.g. incident, complaints, service issues) and assist with the investigation in accordance with the complaints procedure.Manage and process all returns & waste in accordance with the warehouse and pharmacy standard operating procedures.Essential CriteriaQualificationsNVQ Level 2 in Dispensing Assistant (or equivalent)SkillsHigh levels of accuracy with data entryGood IT proficiency including using warehouse management systemsGood interpersonal skillsGood attention to detailGood verbal and written communication skillsExperiencePrevious hands-on operational experience in a warehouse environment and/or pharmacy environmentPrevious experience of working in a cold chain environment would be advantageousSuccessful experience in following standard operating proceduresKnowledgeWorking knowledge of Safeguarding practices (at Level 1 or equivalent)Good knowledge of safe manual handling practicesWorking knowledge of applying Good Document Management practicesJob RequirementsFrequent and repetitive manual handlingWorking to shift patternsWearing and using PPE (e.g. safety glasses, gloves, safety boots)
