Job Summary
The Warehouse Driver is responsible for the delivery of goods to client and non-client locations. They share in the responsibility of Warehouse order processing with the Purchasing Specialist. They hold the primary position as mail courier which includes the delivery of US Mail, interoffice mail, preparing and delivering of mail and packages to US Post Office and various parcel services
Essential Job functions
Load, transport, and deliver merchandise/food to various Hillside locations using a company issued vehicle. Load and unload items from vehicles. Review orders before and after delivery to ensure they are complete, ensure charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied. Communicate customer needs and escalate issues to management following department protocol, and assist with problem solving. Accurately receive, process, and store warehouse inventory, including hard goods, food and supplies. Maintain a clean and safe workplace in the warehouse and in delivery vehicles. Transport vehicles to vendors for cleaning or maintenance. Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures. Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, and adhere to all record standards in accordance with regulations. While this job description covers many aspects of the role, employees may be required to perform other duties as assigned.Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required.Special Requirements
Unrestricted, valid NYS driver’s license for minimum of 1 year with a clean driving record and minimum insurance coverage that meets agency standards.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to identify and resolve problems related to inventory discrepancies or vehicle issues. Ability to accurately follow instructions and verify shipments against orders.
