Job Summary
Performs all activities, duties and responsibilities associated with warehousing to include shipping and receiving of finished goods (rail & truck), reworking damaged product, operating mobile equipment, use of electronic barcode scanners. Must be able to communicate and understand oral and written English instructions with some general math abilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Performs all warehousing work in a safe and efficient manner. This includes complying with all Health and Safety programs, policies and procedures established by State / Federal Law, Corporate directives and / or the Roseville Facility. Operates mobile material-handling equipment per OSHA regulations and Company policies. This includes: computers, scanners, forklift, pallet inverter, and shrink-wrapper on a daily basis. Conduct and record Inbound & Outbound inspections for both Truck and Rail. Organizes stock and inspects incoming and outgoing freight for damages or other issues. Reworks damaged freight by removing bags that are not sellable and shrink-wraps, relabels, and puts goods back into inventory. Reports any damages on daily basis. Disposes of damages according to Morton policies. Manually picks and packs orders for batch managed product. Actively engages in good housekeeping and cleanup activities to include buildings, floors, property and equipment. Contributes ideas on how to improve the operations. Perform any other miscellaneous and reasonable duties and functions assigned or directed by the Warehouse Manager or Team LeaderKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
• High School required with preference towards Supply Chain, Logistics and/or Warehousing.
• Minimum 2 years of distribution/warehouse operations, supply chain or product distribution experience in a service-driven organization.
• Certified Forklift Operator or ability to certify within 30 days.
• Knowledge of key warehouse, inventory and supply chain practices.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Dependability, Flexibility, Organization and Accuracy.
• Good problem-solving and decision making skills.
• Comfortable with technology- Computers, scanners etc. Experience with SAP a plus.
• Self-starter, self-motivated to work independently as well as within a team and with shifting priorities.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs frequently.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
