Dayshift Monday to Friday, located in Shelbyville, KY 

$20 

Job Summary: The Warehouse Expediter is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the efficient movement of goods, ensuring that materials and products are available when needed, and facilitating the timely delivery of goods to customers. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills to collaborate with suppliers, warehouse staff, and other departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management: Ensure materials and products are available for production, picking, or shipping. Monitor stock levels and expedite orders to prevent shortages or delays. Order Coordination: Work closely with the procurement, receiving, and shipping teams to ensure timely processing of orders and shipments. Follow up on back-ordered materials and ensure they are expedited. Scheduling: Manage and monitor the schedules of incoming and outgoing shipments. Communicate with transportation companies and freight carriers to ensure timely delivery and minimize delays. Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution: Address and resolve issues related to stock shortages, delivery delays, or discrepancies in orders. Act as a liaison between various departments to expedite solutions. Quality Control: Ensure that products are picked and shipped accurately, meeting quality standards and customer requirements. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all expedited orders, shipments, and delivery schedules. Generate reports on expediting activities, delays, and resolution statuses. Supplier Communication: Maintain good relationships with suppliers and vendors. Follow up on urgent orders to ensure that delivery commitments are met. Safety & Compliance: Ensure that all warehouse activities adhere to safety regulations and company policies. Report any safety issues or hazards.

Working Conditions:

Typically works in a warehouse or distribution center environment. May require working evening shifts or weekends depending on business needs. The role may involve exposure to varying temperatures and warehouse noise levels.

Skills & Qualifications:

Experience: 2-3 years in warehouse operations, logistics, or a related field. Experience with inventory management and order expediting is preferred. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with various teams and external vendors. Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues and find quick solutions to operational delays or supply chain disruptions. Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), order processing software, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word). Attention to Detail: Accuracy in processing orders, managing inventory, and ensuring deliveries are on schedule.

Physical Requirements:
