Warehouse Lead

About the role

WEG Electric Corp. has an excellent opportunity for a Warehouse Lead. You will lead, communicate and train warehouse area specific teams. You will also receive, store, pick, pack, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse.

Primary Responsibilities:

Trains employees on warehouse functions and processes. Answers daily questions from warehouse employees Communicates directly with the inside sales team to solve internal and external issues Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas. Sorts and places items on racks, shelves, or in bins, according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code. Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items. Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping. Marks materials with identifying information. Opens bales, crates, and other containers. Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed. Operates forklift to transport stored items from shelves to package area for shipment.

Education:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.

Knowledge / training:

Good knowledge of SAP Able to communicate on multiple platforms Demonstrated proficiency driving a sit-down and stand-up forklift and the ability to become certified. Knowledge of order picking, receiving product, understanding how to piece orders together, and outbound product loading/unloading. Product on racking and bulk storage and cycle counting. General warehouse safety is strongly desired.

Experience:

6 to 12 months of related experience is required
