Warehouse Lead

Hire Dynamics is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a Warehouse Lead job in Mebane, NC. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity. As a Warehouse Lead you will be responsible for determing shipping priorities and Set Shipping Schedule to achieve required shipment plan. Maintain inventory accuracy of stocked items and ensure FIFO through regular cycle counts and audits. Reconcile inventory related issues and provide root cause analysis. Identify and correct issues and discrepancies related to shipping / receiving documents, shipping labels, and internal warehouse processes

Shift: 8am – 5pm

Responsibilities for this Warehouse Lead job include:
• Scheduling of outbound trucks (LTL, FTL and parcel packages) to support production and shipment plans.
• Scheduling of inbound shipments balancing material requirements and efficient warehouse operations
• Work with logistic providers to ensure timely deliveries and pickups and resolving any issues that arise
• Assign carriers based on price, service, and timing balanced with efficient warehouse operation
• Responsible for the accuracy of all associated required paperwork for shipping and receiving functions. This to include: Delivery Notes, Bill of Ladings, Packing Lists, COAs, and Customs Documents
• Perform daily and weekly inventory cycle counts and audits
• Ensure all GMP procedures are followed for storage of raw materials and packaging materials.
• Track cycle count adjustments to identify trends and work collaboratively with other team members or departments to determine best practices for continuous improvementMonitor internal warehouse dashboard to timely and accurately resolve issues in warehouse ERP
• Maintain shipping and receiving materials by checking stock to determine inventory level and place orders for replenishment
• Prepare routine reports and file shipping and receiving files
• Assist in resolving and daily shipping and receiving discrepancies
• Communicate with customer service, planning and production regarding status of outbound orders
• Collaborate and communicate with Material Handlers, customer service representatives, and others involved with shipment and receipt of product
• Manage and Execute small pack shipment process
• Assist as needed in all receiving, warehouse and shipping operations

 

 

Qualifications for this Warehouse Lead job include:
Education (degree):
• High School diploma or GED Equivalent

Specific knowledge:
• Physical Inventory experience in a manufacturing environment
• Excellent math skills such as multiplication, division, fractions, and decimalsStrong computer skills including Microsoft office (specifically intermediate functions within excel such as SUM(), VLOOKUP(),MATCH() and pivot tables)
• Knowledge of INCO terms and shipping documents (Bill of Ladings, Packing lists, Delivery notes)
• Forklift certification within 30 days of starting

Experience:
• 5-10 years’ experience in warehouse and logistics operations including shipping, receiving, and warehousing
• Experience with shipping FEDEX, UPS, and DHL
• International Shipping experience preferred
• Experience and proficient knowledge working in an ERP system (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
• Experience working with 3PL partners and coordinating logistic operations
• Experience in food and CPG is a plus.

Language:
• Speak, read, and write fluent English
