Job Description
Reporting into the warehouse supervisor, you’ll be responsible for coordinating and supervising warehouse activities to ensure optimal operations. The warehouse lead shows leadership for the team, upholds safety standards, and works closely with other departments to maintain accurate inventory, on-time shipments, a clean and organized workspace, and a motivated, on-task workforce. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality and planning/scheduling tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting with daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and distribution of goodsLeading and mentoring a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, motivation, and supportEnsuring accurate inventory control through regular cycle counts and inventory reconciliationMonitoring and maintaining stock levels to support production and customer ordersMaintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environmentDeveloping and enforcing safety policies and protocols to ensure a secure working environmentCoordinating with other departments to ensure smooth order processing and delivery timelinesTracking key metrics and create reports on warehouse activities and performanceQualificationsQualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or certification in logistics or warehouse management is a plus3+ years of experience in a warehouse or logistics role, with at least 1 year in a or lead capacityStrong understanding of inventory management and warehouse operationsProficiency in warehouse management software (WMS) and Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to lift and move heavy items as requiredForklift certification preferredSkills
