Job Purpose

The Warhouse Logistics Manger will oversee and direct activities involving inspection and accountability of materials and the shipment of items from stock or production in accordance with customer requirements. Handle exceptional cases of shortages or damaged items. Plan and coordinate outgoing shipments with company, public carrier or customer vehicle. Enforce safe operation of forklifts and trailer docking. Interpret customer’s instructions and coordinate special product handling, shipping instructions, or packaging. Follow government regulations relative to shipments. Order and maintain department materials and supplies. Perform normal supervisory functions.

Additional responsibility to manage receiving department of raw materials, organization, and storage of materials needed for manufacturing operations. This to include receipt of bulk materials and ensuring proper acceptance of BOL’s entered and verified receipts in SAP. 
 

Key Responsibilities

•    Must follow all established safety rules and procedures
•    Must demonstrate integrity while performing duties as per company’s Code of Conduct
•    Organize available work force to complete days production
•    Responsible for enforcement of cleanliness, health, safety and environmental policies and programs
•    Responsible for all time keeping and record keeping such as performance appraisals, disciplinary and employee handbook enforcement
•    Responsible for delivery and processing of production orders to make ready for shipment to all sales orders scheduled by production manager
•    Perform area housekeeping responsibilities 

Level of Autonomy

Responsible person in this role needs to have the ability to think and react on their own to situations to decide best methods and practices to ensure reliability, effectiveness, and proficiency of the shipping and receiving processes. Additional responsibilities to disciplined and coach as required for continuous improvement and growth within the departments and personal. 

Job Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Degree preferred.
Experience: Knowledge of Logistical Operations involving shipping of product and receiving product. 3 to 5 years experiencing leading a team of employees.
Knowledge: Understanding of essential functions such as truck scheduling, BOL’s, Pic Lists and general shipping and receiving functions.
Skills: Computer knowledge, email, Word, Excell, and PowerPoint. With ability to make presentations to present to management.

•    Ability to read, comprehend and follow safety instructions and safety guidelines
•    Ability to write correspondence in English professionally and effectively to all levels of management, peer group and employees
•    Ability to present information in English in one-on-one and group situations to peers, management and vendors 
•    Ability to interact and communicate in English with all levels of the organization effectively and precisely
•    Must have effective interpersonal skills
•    Ability to work independently
•    Ability to multi-task and balance priorities
•    Dedicated and committed safety leadership and presence
•    Analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills
•    Coaching/teaching and decision-making skills
•    Strong computer skills for data tabulation, analysis and report preparation (Excel, Word, Power Point)
•    Working knowledge of SAP
•    Ability to wear steel-toed footwear
 

Compensation/Benefits/Rewards

The salary range for these skills is:  $70,000 to $99,000.  This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.  This salary range may also be modified in the future.
