This position is an entry-level training and development position. The Maintenance I teammate troubleshoots, repairs, and perform preventive maintenance actions on material handling equipment and other facility support systems in the distribution center environment.

Timely and accurate completion of all work orders and service records in Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) per the time standard.Log all parts consumed via CMMS and complete inventory count for on hand use. Maintenance on forklift equipment, pallet jacks, chargers, batteries, and conveyorsMaintenance of overhead dock doors, ramp dock levelers, construction repair, floor repair, office doors etc.Assist with DC maintenance requirements such as (but not limited to) refrigeration systems, plumbing, building lighting, welding, dock doors, air systems, racking, tote washer, and air spray painting.Maximize availability of all classes of batteries by managing charging cycles and battery rotation.Fill battery cells with acid solution and determines the specific gravity of the solutionAttach charger leads to battery posts and starts chargerRead meters and adjusts charge parameters to control time and flow of current through the batteryPerforms routine maintenance on forklifts such as oil changes, lubrication, filter replacement, and battery maintenance.Perform inspections and cleaning; do specific gravity checks; evaluate cable serviceability and repair damage.Develop a working knowledge of the required aspects of the McLane Maintenance Connection database.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED.At least 1 year of professional experience in industrial maintenance.At least 1 year of maintenance experience with material handling equipment.At least 1 year of experience in a mechanically technical roleAble to read and understand electrical schematics.Experience with distribution center industrial equipment, including (but not limited to) forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, tuggers, and carts.Knowledge of OSHA regulations.Basic computer skills with experience in a maintenance database such as MP2, DataStream 7i, or Maintenance Connection.Communication skillsCandidates may be subject to a background check and drug screen, in accordance with applicable laws.
