18,000 trained professionals250+ locations worldwideGlobally unified systemJob DescriptionThe purpose of this role is to lead the Expeditors facility in the pursuit of Warehouse Excellence by promoting a culture of safety and security in a facility that is modern, efficient and meets high quality standards through continuous improvement. Duties for this role include but are not limited to:
Managing and coaching the Warehouse staffConducting weekly team / huddle with Warehouse staffConducting monthly 1-on-1’s with Warehouse SupervisorReview and conduct staff appraisals and one to one meeting timely in line with the 3+1 InitiativeSet annual improvement objectives for Warehouse OperationsExecution of District Tactical Business PlanEnsure a safe and secure work environmentMaintain Expeditors warehouse & IOC procedures, safety and compliance standardsMaintain a clean and professional facilityEnsure all equipment is maintained in a safe operational condition including the required maintenance contractPrepare and manage budget for warehouse & IOC operations weekly/monthly/annually, includes staffing and overtime expenses, equipment procurement and maintenance, and facility repairEnsure facility is staffed to meet demand including a flexible work forcePreform or oversee all aspects of warehouse & IOC staffing, includes permanent and contingent staffResponsible for warehouse excellence success and KPIsResponsible for coverage of operations with staff who have the appropriate certificationsOnboard newly hired staff and maintain the new hire onboarding and training scheduleResponsible for employee versatility (cross training)Manage all receiving, shipping, container positioning, and inventory activities following operational standards; (OPS) and KPI expectations, including the warehouse / IOC standard working instructions and 7S processesResponsible for improving safety, quality, delivery and cost through continuous improvement methodsMaintain compliance to all facility certification requirements and government policiesResponsible audits of warehouse & IOC activities to ensure security and safety of people, facility, and freightProactively communicate with the team to ensure continuous awareness and understanding of policies and regulationsOversee and ensure compliance with Expeditors Operational Process StandardsFor a full job description please reach out to [email protected]
